Hi Cee! I was waiting for this review! I own this fragrance, and it is a LOVE, for sure. And two of my most trusted TH-cam reviewers (You and Simin Shaikh) love it and have been raving about it for weeks. BUT, I feel like you both are saying two entirely different things! Simin states that this is an extremely strong oud that is wrapped in caramel and vanilla. She emphasized this was an oud extract, and not for the faint of heart and that this fragrance will not be for everyone. Her notes listed are entirely different, too. No triple vanilla. I tend to agree with her assessment. To my nose, this wasn't a love at first sniff. It knocked me out, the oud was so strong. But I kept coming back to it. And when the oud calmed down, oh wow! That's why I was surprised you didn't mention the oud in your review. It could be a deal breaker for some folks. Bottom line is that this is a unique, VERY grown-up sexy fragrance that I am addicted to. Anyway, please don't be upset with me! I'm not trying to be confrontational. 🙈 I am just genuinely confused ...🤔
I know exactly what you mean because I keep hesitating to buy precisely because of what Sim said about the oud bit!! I need to know which description is closer to the truth before I blind buy as usual 😂
@@sashugh Fragrance is so subjective. They are both describing the scent as they perceive it. I don't normally care for oud fragrances. But this one is different. It wasn't love at first sniff, but I kept coming back to it. I find it addictive, but I would really recommend a decant 🙃
@@AmiAbroad unfortunately, with Middle Eastern perfumes decants sometimes end up being too expensive and it’s easier to blind buy a full bottle 😅

Thank you dear Cee, this one is on my wish list later this year as I have promised myself a break for a while but that particular perfume once it arrives Down Under and has been here for a few months ( the prices always go down a few months later before they sometimes rise again as popularity for this will make it a big seller) I will buy it. The only thing I now am concerned about it, is which version will be Down Under as the OG version was super strong and different from the newer version. It’s a beautiful perfume, I love it !! I have the OG Kayali Vanilla Oud , but this one to me more creamy and little better to my noise…. I couldn’t find it anywhere in USA and i was so inpatient that I end up buying it from khadlaj web getting total of 11 perfume bcuz I wanted to try this perfume house so bad , and the shipping amount was ridiculous ….. but , when I smelled it it was so worth it. Must have !!!

I received it today. It's amazing. For me it's a caramely vanilla with a zing. Reminds me of Althair from Parfums de Marly but they're different.

Please believe me when I tell you that the house of Khadlaj is very thoughtful in blending their fragrances. Their fragrances are gorgeous and smell so good and they last. I haven't been disappointed with anything I've purchased.

Unfortunately I got the older version before it was reformulated 😂 heavy oud, very animalic, light vanilla, no caramel or lemon. Disappointed is an understatement. Wish I got the newer version like you describe. The older version is for the advanced oud lovers.

Hi Cee, I was looking forward to your review! I‘ve got mine a couple of days ago, I must say the opening was challenging for me…it gives me skanky, fecal oud, in the drydown it‘s turned down but still noticable, then comes amber and a hint of vanilla…I will let it macerate, I hope I will like it more
Hope it gets better. Maybe it’s the postage shake up.
I also get that with me hopefully it gets better
Very weak projection, good longevity close to skin scent after an hour, hope it improves after macerating

i do not detect any lemon in the fragrance, I would say its a deep vanilla scent🙂 a bit vanilla ice, banana, sugar type of scent in a luxurious way

Hello i just ordered it and received it 2 days ago, i was really waiting for this , I ordered it bc of the vanilla too. Unfortunately, mine when sprayed is smelling something like olive oil, (dirty somehow maybe pissy ) l , its nothing like what I expected. Did i come across a bad batch or does it need maceration. So far Im very very disappointed :(
No. The first sprays off this come off wired. Let it macerate

@diamond4270 Nope, this stuff is sold out everywhere. Khadlaj is growing in popularity very fast, and they are a smaller company. I see that in the availability of their products. Their inventory is low for many of their fragrances, even on their official website.
