- What is SAP EWM? Well, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (or EWM) is a module within SAP’s Supply Chain Management suite of solutions. It is a warehouse management solution that provides flexible, automated support for managing stock movements through the entire warehouse process from goods in through to picking and packing and goods out. What is more widely used in the industry? Sap ewm vs sap wm
Currently, based on my experience I’ll say that SAP EWM is used more widely as compared to SAP WM.
According do note that to the SAP roadmap, the WM module will no longer receive development, and its support cycle will end in 2025.
So if want to decide between the two, you should go ahead to learn SAP EWM

it is not a question of one party using WM and the other using EWM. SAP is phasing out the "old" basic WM by 2025. An alternative is available in the form of stock management but its in my opinion a dead end because SAP representatives state their will be no development on that part, so in the end we are forced to move to EWM
Is this useful to pharmaceutical companies also ?
I work in medical tech. I run a shift moving medical equipment. Our warehouse has unlimited money and we run sap. My company has sap contractors for when things get to far fuked for us mortal warehouse muppets to find a work around/find a video online.
