I've played through Sly multiple times throughout my life. Played them all back on PS2. Platinumed the entire PS3 Collection. Snagged the plat for PS5. And sometimes I just play through Sly 1 for fun. And not once, in all that time, have I ever played The Last of Us. I want a video game - not an interactive movie.

Sly 1/2/3 PS2 releases - I can emulate them on PC at 4K with progressive scan effortlessly, giving me access to mods. Sly 1/2/3 PS3 releases - I can also emulate them on PC at 4K effortlessly. Sly 4 - I can once again effortlessly emulate this on PC with the advantage of 1-2 second loading times. The only way this would interest me is if one - it lead to a new entry in the series, or two - Sly games get native PC ports as in PC Sly Cooper and not PS2 Sly Cooper running on PC, because I already have that, but infinitely better than anything Sony can push out.
See it as opportunity. If they release Sly 2, we need to buy and play it, and the same with Sly 3. That won’t go unnoticed. Sony will see that Sly still gets a lot of attention. That’ll open a lot of new gates.
I believe in that too. It can result into a few things One of the things I want to see is given the crash, bandicoot, treatment, and remastered all 3 games from the ground up or seen a fifth game that just wrapped up everything. Sly out of Egypt and back into the modern day. Carmelita and sly finally together and not dating one, another on lies and a happy, and then overall give us that Sony and and like Cooper fans will be forever happy

Yep, they just released the rest of the Jak and Daxter games, so fingers crossed they will rerelease All sly and Ratchet and Clank games, and not just as streaming games

Penelope needs to be one of the main antagonists of the 5th game. Bentley and the others try to catch her to help them build a new Time Machine to find Sly. She reforms herself in the process & welcome her back into the gang.
If Sucker Punch ever decides to make a new Sly game in the near future, they need to ignore the train wreck of a game that Sanzaru Games made, Sanzaru Games was the worst thing to happen to the Sly series, they thought it would be a great idea to end the game on a cliffhanger ending, and if you wanted to see the real ending to Sly 4, just pay for a dlc that got cancelled because the game didn't sell enough
Sly Cooper is a series that is criminally underutilized (heh). It has so many good things going for it. It's fun, it's silly, it has great puzzles and mysteries, and is just a really fun to stealth around in, pickpocketing enemies, and whatever else have you. And I love those operation title cards. We really just need more of these games. I have not played 4 yet, but I hope to play it soon! (Because it never released outside of PS3, and my PS3 sounds like a jet engine, so I never bothered playing it, hoping it would rerelease EVENTUALLY.... come on man, get it off the PS3 already!)
I think Sly 4's cliffhanger ending destroyed any chance at a next installment. The story and possibly the game mechanics as a whole would have to get so messy and convoluded that it'll be a completely different game, for better or for worse. And im thinking it would be the latter.

I just started playing Sly Cooper 1 a few days ago and the game is fun and amazing. The bosses and areas are somewhat difficult because you have to be precise of what your latching onto and you could loose your life in one go if you are careless. Hopefully, this encourages Sony to make a new game.
If they give us sly 2 & 3 port on ps5 with the same outcome, Sony has to listen to us. We want this raccoon back and have them have a happy ending once and for all
considering Sony owns the Sly games, they were going to put Sly 2 & 3 on the PS5 regardless of how successful Sly 1 was, and when all three games are eventually on the PS5, no matter how successful the trilogy is, Sony doesn't have to listen to us.

Im hoping that Sony finally gets the hint that we want the classics to be re-released. Every franchise under the sun gets remasters, remakes, ports, etc. Except for their main exclusives that helped make playstation who they are. It feels like they completely forgotten their roots and only cater to the CoD Fortnite zoomer crowd that will eventually abandon playstation consoles and migrate to PC anyways.

And the rewind/save feature will let you replay Sly 2 episodes and boss fights which would be really dope
