      @@like2jo4796 they weren't really pioneers/trailblazers like Penn, Pulver, Sherk, Edgar, Henderson, Pettis and others. They came after the lower divisions were already well established in UFC mainstream. These others fought when the LW was equivalent to the Flyweight division of DJ time in UFC. They didn't want it and barely built. Or had enough people to fight in the division. Guys were eating themselves into WW and up just to compete. But WEC, RW, CW and other smaller MMA circuits had BW, FW, LW. For guys of smaller frames in the ht/wt radius of 5'3-5'9 from 125-155lbs. Khabib, RDA and Tony are guys who competed when it was well established. Penn, Sherk and Pulver were like overweight midgets fighting at MW, WW and LHW in K1, PRIDE, UFC then. Gotta appreciate Pettis for having entertained us throughout the years, good man. Glad he earns more than 90% of the UFC fighters. Shame that fighters are bad business people that sign too long contracts instead of testing their true worth by taking chances in different companies and etc..

    • @alcottdevalte7440
      @alcottdevalte7440 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Money Moe It's around the same payment for the prelim fighters in UFC and Bellator. It's from 3k-30k, but Bellator gives their fighters the chance to have sponsorships and earn money elsewhere while the UFC lock them into contracts, so I would say that the prelim fighters on Bellator earn more. I only think Usman, Adesanya and Conor earns more money than Pettis, so he earns more than 99% of the current UFC fighters when you include sponsorships and his own promotion companies, lol... Even I used to earn more than Francis' 600k back in the days...

    • @alcottdevalte7440
      @alcottdevalte7440 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Money Moe That's right and kinda sad. And Francis would be smart to leave the UFC next and earn big money elsewhere. He has nothing to prove in the UFC since he has already beaten 6 champions, which is impressive itself... Jon is retired as of now and won't fight him, and Francis has wins over 4 in top 10... That's a nice way to leave...

      @@alcottdevalte7440 Even though being in the UFC is like being in the NFL and being in Bellator is like being in College. The UFC opens a lot of doors and raises your business profile substantially. Smart fighters take advantage of that.

      @Money Moe Tyson Fury didn't make close to 50 million in his last fight and average boxer makes 20-30k per year. At the very high end boxers make more but it's not much different on the lower end.

    He's had so many up & downs later in his career, but think about it -- all he did was face the best in the world in multiple weight classes. I payed half attention to this interview so I could be wrong with what I'm about to say but if PFL is offering 1 million dollars to a fighter who's gone 1-3 in their last 4 fights then I'd say that promotion probably won't be around 5-10 years from now, and if they are its because they've drastically reduced how much money their spending on fights I'd assume not many people are watching.

    Anthony Pettis literally demosntrating why win-show is important and Ariel goes back to his old "when are we getting rid of it"... you don't have win-show people like Anthony Pettis will give up just for a pay check

    In my opinion Pfl would be way better if they got rid of the cheesy ass words they use and do away with the smart cam. Ref cam
    And randy cam. All make the production less valuable imo. Just keep it simple would do wonders for them imo .

    I know it is media's job to pretend to be pro-fighter because they pay your bills by giving you interviews, but isn't Ariel calling Nate a bum numerous times, by implying that the UFC is trying to kill off Nate with Khamzat, especially when Nate is clearly saying he wanted that fight.

    • @jonoc5
      @jonoc5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nate can want the fight but that doesn’t make it a good idea. I bet some welterweight somewhere would fight Ngannou if you have him the chance - that doesn’t meant the UFC should allow it to happen.

    • @somdutroy
      @somdutroy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonoc5 but Ariel is trying to paint two narratives,
      1. "Nate is such a badass, he would fight anybody. He ain't scared, in fact he wanted this fight."
      2. "The UFC is doing Nate dirty by making him fight Khamzat".
      These two narratives don't go hand in hand.

    • @jonoc5
      @jonoc5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@somdutroy They aren't mutually exclusive. Nate Diaz would fight anybody - he isn't scared of Khamzat, and he sincerely thinks he can win. So what?
      Why does that mean the UFC aren't giving him Khamzat with the intent for him to lose in embarrassing fashion? Brandon Moreno could volunteer to fight Jon Jones - that doesn't mean it wouldn't be criminal to allow it to happen.
