hey bro ..he actually help me to find the accomadation at daporijo ..so no problem there ..i have made some wonderful friends in this trip from arunachal and planning to come back next year april exlucsively to explore arunachal. I hope roads will be better by that time :-)

I have lived in Dapo when my father had served in the Govt.Very nice town.But only problem we faced in summers was frequent power cuts,we suffered bad.
Power cuts are sorted out now, however govt quarters are not available for govt employees anymore. 😂

I was reading a beautiful book of the travelogue of Rani Chanda, one of the closest acquaintances of Tagore, about the places she had visited. Subansiri was one of them, where she mentioned about Daporijo and the then culture at that time, about the residents at that time who ate rats. Your video made me see this place again in a new form !

People still eat rats today but it's not as common as it was in the past. But Only eat tree rats (almost like squirrels) and not the ones that invade our homes 😅. In fact , rats are eaten across the globe , even in the southern US states.
That's why, before taking pictures or videos of any person, we need to tell the cause, benefits and take their consent. (say something like: I am a tourist and youtuber, and I want to make a video highlighting your place, would you like to be in the video?)

Mai bachpan se Arunachal m raha huuu....or Daporijo,Dumporijo.......or v bahut jagah pe raha huuu.....bahut hi accha jagah hai waha k local people toda gussa wale jarur hai par Sab nahi....abhi mai Arunachal ko miss kar raha huu....Mai L-KG se 10 tak Upper Subansiri District m hi padhaee ki hai...or mere bahut sare dost Arunachal k hai.....
Ok all i can see is that people in the comment sections are throwing hate comments on the boy who just happen to reflect a bit rude to Pragat, but unfortunately i am sorry to say that that's who we are. We people have been neglected by the Government of India for all so long years and never given us the opportunity to developed so what do you expect to sing along in his video. People in so called mainland speaks around about brotherhood but do they really understand the essence of brotherhood i dont think so...when our people are still being harrased for nothing but for the way we look, small young school children in Delhi still calls you Chinese ( There's not a single news where a person from other part of the country being beaten up, harrased or murdered only beccuase the person looks so Indian, in Arunachal Pradesh). I am afraid i am losing my Indianity.

You are a brave man....travelling solo without anyone known there is really tough. My birth place is Daporijo and i did my schooling over there. I can proudly say that my childhood was the most adventurous part of my life but at the same time i regret for the ill behaviour of the tribal people as well as the law and order of the place. At the same i had lot of close local friends with whom i spent most of my childhood. So we can't say everyone behaves unusual but i have seen worse too. People need to change their attitude and be friendly from their heart and be a part of a cultured society.

Because I know not everyone from daporijo or any part of world are ne'er-do-well like the guy u met in the hotel there are always the bad and good element in society.... Next time be very assure to judge the people if u are in any unknown place u never know whom you can encounter with .....world is full of dimwit nowadays. Best is to get better information before exploring the place and get a good guide..... Even if it's not for video purpose try and get connected with good elder locality

I was there for 3 months
people in arunachal they are friendly n really do respect us..
I haven't faced any problems while I was there in Dapo as for some they are kind of irritating but rather than they are way too good

Come in winter, now road is improving. Visit some beautiful places of upper Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh. This vedio only shows the Daporijo town. Visit some nearby village you will much excite and adventurous too.

Yes daporijo is a badass region in arunachal pradesh, yes our people is bit wild, no talking sense and obviously wants to suck out money in every sense, but this is all because of lack of proper education and system (as u have seen and sensed the area).
It's so remote and still an undeveloped district hq.
But as sayings Arunachal pradesh is one of the most beautiful place in our country with love, kind people and environment.
Daporijo is not the actual face of Ar. P.
Places like Tawang, Bomdila, Menchuka, Pasighat, tezu, aalo, Itangar etc... are some of the best places for which arunachal is popular across the world, where u can meet the best people and can briefly learn the culture and traditions of our state.
Hope you would visit arunachal again and other parts of North-east.

I went through many harsh comments on this video. I had been there a few times to different places, and I think Arunachal is a very beautiful place, pristine, and you can feel very near god. But you need to understand that the people of rural Arunachal lead a hard life, communication-wise, weather-wise, resources-wise. They have very less amenities, what we metro people cannot think of. When they are deprived of so much, their struggle for life is very hard. Due to this reason they sound harsh.
You will find people who seem apparently noncooperative in all remote places where you go for a trip. Once tourism gets a kickstart and those people begin to get the economic benefit, they become more eased with tourists.
However, the more we visit remote places, the people will start to accept us more easily.

You go to someones place with a camera start filming, its natural people will find it uneasy. Not everybody is that generous, i can definitely understand why they asked for money.
Talking of vlogers, most take prior permission before they go filming homes.

Seen this town developed to present status since 1967
mai toh yaha par 2002 me gaya tha us samay toh road bhi nahi tha
Due to corruption our town is not that developed that is why our people are not that broad minded they are not bad but they are dont really have idea about how people should live nowadays because people nowadays who know bit more than us are busy in maintaining their own households..

Hi Pragat what do you mean by 'bahut tribal hai'.Wonder what's your definition of a 'tribal'? Somehow you sound prejudiced (maybe without meaning to). Also, it would be more respectful if you take permission before videotaping people, buisnesses. Not everyone would wants to be photographed. And Arunachalis do live in 'pucca houses ' too ! Bamboo houses are traditional eco friendly houses and does not define 'triblehood'. Infact, there's lot of ingenuity building them.
