I’ve been binging your videos and I absolutely love your attitude towards not just language learning but goals and personal image and such. I’m a neurodivergent person with chronic fatigue, so your general attitude and methodology really matches my outlook, and I really appreciate the way you explain things. I’ve been learning Mandarin Chinese for over a year now, and I definitely still struggle with realistic goal setting and letting myself be proud of the steps I’ve taken instead of thinking of everything I feel like I could have done instead. This video is a good reminder to be kinder to myself, and recognize all the effort I’ve put in and how far I’ve come. Also, I know your channel is still very new, but if you ever make a Discord server or something like that for language learners to hang out in, I would absolutely love to join.
That's a great idea! I was thinking about it as well, but may be when I grow time bit:) You just need to figure out the best way for you to study and appreciate it:) At the end of the day, it is better to do 5 minutes per day for a month, than nothing at all:)
This was a really helpful perspective for me. The last several years of my life has revolved around breaking myself, trying to rebuild, failing, repeat. Going nowhere basically. Only recently have i realized that might be both unhealthy and ineffective. Looking foward to your future videos =)
At the end of the day, consistency is what makes us succeed, and if that means that you got to start with doing something for as little as 5 minutes a day, so be it :)
