Very good. Especially that you included his skeevers. In his diary, Hamelyn wrote that he planned to attack Whiterun. Presumably when he multiplied his skeevers. Have you considered doing that, giving him two or three times as many skeevers as he has in the Honningbrew basement and caves? There are spiders down there too. Maybe the skeevers plus the spiders. Similarly, there's a vampire reject you run across when you and Serana first investigate the Volkihar Castle basement. He trained some of the death hounds there. You might give him many more and attack those in the main room. Regardless, this was a well done episode. Nice work.
Thank you! 😁 Hmm, I'm pretty sure we would need an overwhelming army of skeevers and spiders, but maybe a smaller number could still be fun for a round. I like the idea! I'm pretty sure I know which one you mean; the feral vampire. She wouldn't stand a chance against all the other vampires, even with a large amount of hounds on her side. Still, maybe it'll be cool to watch. I haven't done anything with the Volkihar clan yet (at least not with the whole group at once), but I'll save that idea for when I get around it. And thanks again!
Brynolf getting annihilated by someone that the dragon born can one shot kill at an early level, and still has the nerve to talk down to the dragon born
That dragon fight near Whiterun made me want to see Irileth in a fight. She can do some heavy lifting in the Mirmulnir fight at early levels so it would be great to see her against some other enemies.
I remember once fighting Hamelyn in one playthrough this year when going through the Thieves Guild questline. He was mostly difficult because of the skeevers. Seems like Marcurio just edged out! I'm really surprised that he beat a Blood Dragon (even if it was with the help of skeevers)! Now for some suggestions: 1) Hamelyn and Challenger vs Malkoran (I remember you doing Hamelyn vs Malkoran, and Hamelyn and Challenger vs Thoron, so this would be interesting). 2) A video testing the Dragon Priests against Malkoran, to see who would fare the best. 3) The Companions vs Miraak (with boss mechanics). (I know you dislike The Companions). 4) Kvenel The Tounge, Red Eagle, Warlord Gathrik and the Gauldurson Brothers vs Karstaag. 5) Kematu and his 6 Alik'r Warriors vs Malkoran or Thoron. 6) 2 Werewolf Vargrs vs Lu'ah Al-Skaven. 7) Vilkas and Farkas, J'Zargo and Marcurio, and Ralis Sedarys vs Hevnoraak, Rahgot, Krosis, Vokun or Otar. (If you decide to do Vokun, adding Anska would be a logical step).
I hardly remember fighting him at all, really. 😂 I did the questline but that was years ago. Blood Dragons are really weak, any stronger dragon would obliterate him. 😅 1. Hamelyn and Challenger vs. Malkoran: Makes sense, goes onto my list! 2. All battles with Malkoran are highly random, so there's no way to do a "fair" and consistent test. He will be facing more Dragon Priests in the future though; just not all in the same video 😅 3. Companions vs. Miraak: I'm planning to do the College of Winterhold vs. Miraak in Apocrypha. I'll have to see how that goes. If it's good, the Companions are an option too! 4. Kvenel, Red Eagle, Gathrik, and Gauldurson Brothers vs. Karstaag: I've experimented with the Gauldursons and their scripted mechanics, and there are too many issues. I could easily use them without their scripts, but my plan was to include Sigdis' teleportation and clones. It feels too... basic otherwise. That's also why I haven't ever put them together in any of my videos. Maybe I'll look into it again, but it was super frustrating the last times I did, so it's not a priority right now 😂 5. Kematu and Alik'r vs. Malkoran or Thoron: Cool, adding those! 6. 2 Werewolf Vargr vs. Lu'ah: Werewolves are problematic because of repeated ragdoll, and them not attacking their opponents anymore while they're on the ground. I'll still give it a try, but no promise that it'll make it into a video 😅 7. Most of the unique Dragon Priests are awful to work with because of their enviroment and their staves. Still, I want to make some episodes with a few of them so it's good having some suggestions. We'll see how things work out, thanks!
@lSlendermaster Alright, cool! I have almost defeated all Skyrim Dragon Priests, only ones left are Nahkriin and Morokei. Now, normally i wouldn't join the College of Winterhold as my main charachter, Jack Stormblade. But this time i'll make an exception, so i can get all Dragon Priest masks. I also have only a few Daedric Artifacts left to collect. Ring of Namira, Volendrung, Skull of Corruption, Savior's Hide (I do have the Ring of Hircine, but you can get both), Masque of Clavicus Vile and Ebony Mail. I'm not doing the Thieves Guild questline in this playthrough, because i hate the Thieves Guild and because the Skeleton Key dosen't count for the Oblivion Walker Achievement.
@@jakoblarsson1926 Nice! I usually join the College early on, pretty much after I first arrive in Whiterun. My first walk from there to Winterhold all the way back in 2012 was quite a journey. 😅 I also got both the Savior's Hide and the Ring of Hircine, because I wanted the achievement but didn't want to do the Boethiah quest. So that comes in handy. And I dislike the Thieves Guild too, along with the Dark Brotherhood. I wouldn't even join them, but I did it anyway because a few achievements rely on that 😂
@@lSlendermaster Cool. I don't like the Boethiah quest, I'm just doing it for the Achievement. Oh yeah, I hate the Dark Brotherhood as well. I'm not going to join them, also thanks to a glitch i can't complete it as any other race than a Dark Elf. However once i've defeated vanilla Skyrim for the 4th time and downloaded Anniversary Edition, I'll try to defeat every quest.
@@jakoblarsson1926 Oh damn, what kind of glitch is that? Sounds messy! 😂 Awesome! How much playtime do you have in Skyrim? And how much do you think will be needed to do every quest?
I understand better why Brynjolf and Mercer prefer to send us, it's because they know who will lose In any case, Hamelyn is doing a bit well with her big rats. but hey, 5 whiterun guards and it's quickly taken care of X)
I usually don't have much trouble with Hamelyn because I tend to run sneak builds when I'm playing through the Thieves Guild questline so I just sneak up behind him and one-shot him with my dagger lol. In the few times I have fought him I only really remember him using frost spells so I was surprised to see him use fire and shock in this video. In fact he didn't seem to use his frost spells that much in the video as he was mostly using fire and shock spells.
Good strategy! 😆 Like other bandit mages, Hamelyn gets a random elemental destruction spell assigned as he enters combat. The options include: Firebolt, fireball, chain lightning, lightning bolt, and ice spike (no ice storm). Fire is arguably the best he can have, unless he fights other mages. Frost is rather unlucky 😅
A dragon... a mythic creature resurrected by Alduin the world eater himself to destroy all of Tamriel... defeated by a half naked, crazy guy and a couple of rats. 🙈
I'm pretty sure Hamelyn pulled a Tyson, and threw that fight against Marcurio. He stood there and just took shots from him, the fix was in. Also, I like how in the rematch against Brynjolf, he simply starts brewing potions, as if nothing happened.
Mages that get their magicka depleted from something like shock spells are pretty helpless, unfortunately. They're not smart enough to do anything else. 😂 Yeah, or how some NPCs will grab a pickaxe and mine some ore in other locations 😆
They would regenerate magicka faster, but that's about it. With some really good robes, like the warlock ones that boost magicka regeneration by 150%, they could cast more consistently, although they still wouldn't quite compare to the higher-tier mages 😄
I use two mods for the bars: TrueHUD in the first rounds, which shows all 3 bars, and Floating Healthbars in the last one, which only has a healthbar. Unfortunately, TrueHUD can't be used with tfc (the command that lets you fly around with a free camera), so in order to use it, you need to walk around with your character. In the final fight, the enviroment doesn't work for that. The camera angles would be awful, and with dragons, I usually try to go up a little higher anyway for a better view 😄
Good question! They both have their advantages. Charstaag potentially does more damage with his cloak; not because the base damage is any higher, but the Ebony Warrior loses most of his fire resistance when not having his shield equipped, while his frost resistance never changes. This is noticable early on when he uses a few spells, and also later when he has to heal. On the other hand, Karstaag's cloak also drains his stamina, which makes a considerable difference. No more power attacks or shield bashes. Charstaag's wraiths are stronger, but they can actually be controlled by Command Daedra, and the Ebony Warrior has that spell and will sometimes use it. Charstaag's firestorm is arguably better than Karstaag's blizzard, but unlike the blizzard, it doesn't damage the NPC that is targeted by the stomp. The outcome ultimately depends on a lot of factors, especially how many times Karstaag and Charstaag stomp. That's the main decider. If the Ebony Warrior couldn't get ragdolled, Karstaag would do better because his frost cloak won't allow the Ebony Warrior to use power attacks or stagger him through shield bashes. But that is not a good comparison because the ragdoll is one of Karstaag's and Charstaag's most important abilities. I hope that sums it up well 😅
