So on the basis of all the gushing about this amp I demo'd one, its great! For a £500 amp but absolutely not worth the asking price, its actually a bit tacky in real life, not quite a pound shop Macintosh but along those lines, there's a whole raft of British amps that eat this thing for breakfast, so I'm perplexed at the praise, maybe demo it against some similarly priced British amps because as it stands the praise seems sponsored.
Looking at the comments, it doesn't seem like people have been listening to what you've been saying about this amplifier since you first auditioned it. From the start, you have praised its features, build quality, and clear presentation. Beyond that, though, you have been very clear that this piece has impacted you emotionally. Its hard to put a price on that.
In my view, the audiophile product of the year undoubtedly has to be the Tom Evans MasterGroove. This exceptional piece of equipment embodies everything that defines high-end boutique audio products, setting a benchmark for quality, craftsmanship, and performance in its class.
Bought my first receiver in 1976, have a stack of equipment I retired over the decades. The cheapest system is the one you don’t feel the need to replace, maybe ever. For the last 18 years I’ve had a Macintosh, and have no intention of replacing it, but I certainly would recommend a hard look at the A10 or it’s bigger brother (I’ve never heard anyone say ‘my stereo has too much power’). As a bass player, I would not be recommending not needing a sub-woofer with only 6” speakers…it’s physics that bass cabinets do not use 6” speakers. There is a physical need to push air to realistically hit those low notes.
still loving my Mc7300 (going on 30 years), which works with *any* speaker, even multiple pairs. i've gone through three pairs of main speakers in the time (i moved 2x)
Excellent video as usual. For those that complain you are not the cheap audio man any more! Then look at it this way - ! When you have a "Value for money" item, that blows away the more expensive opposition, then that is "Cheap Audio". Everything is relative... So, happy holidays, as you say over there. MERRY CHRISTMAS from us in the UK.
Sorry Mr. Cheapaudioman, but I cannot "warm up" to a product built to look like a legend, costing thousands of $ and coming from China. 14 inputs? Who needs so many? Let's see, CD, turntable, streaming, what else? I would not use it for a TV, no surround, for that I just bought a Yamaha RX-V4A, to replace an old Onkyo, for $349.00, free shipping and endless customer service, great product, great sound in both, 5.1, or 5.2 and 2 channels stereo. If you want a Ferrari or a Ducati, you get the real thing and not something coming from China. Once done with college tuition for my youngest, one left, I will treat myself to a McIntosh and nothing else, for my 2 channels listening, more expensive but worth that price. Merry Christmas!
Everyone likes to know that someone else's choices are the same as ours. I was very proud of that. Thanks for correcting the oversights and, while you're at it, try listening to the Advance Paris set X-P700 + X-A220 EVO monoblocks
That Advanced Paris is the most beautiful amp I have ever seen. and I have been buying amps since I was in the Navy in 1975 and had my first real spending money. $168.00 every two weeks! LOL
@@ronaldfriedline9297 the thing I can’t stand about new amps is having a single knob or very few buttons and having to navigate a tiny lcd screen to change any settings. What happened to analog controls they were much better and easier to use? If I need to change tone controls from song to song it only takes a second or two. What a regression!
No disagreement about either of those products. That Advance Paris integrated amp could be an endgame component for people on a budget who can't afford the audiophile carousel. It's not cheap, but a few months of saving up would be worth it. It has enough power to drive any speaker along with a sub output, and enough digital and analog inputs to accommodate a crowded audio system. Stunning looks aside, it's the performance that really sells it.
If you want to use a separate amplifier for your rear speakers you can. On the preamp out you can still use the internal amplifier at the same time. I currently have the Onkyo m504 with the monster meters running the rear speakers and the A10 running the fronts. Works great 👍
Randy , I use Wiim Ultra with Emotiva BasX A2 now. Is the Advance Paris A10 much better? I know you have Emotiva Amplifiier either. Can you compare these two devices, please? A10 looks amazing! Is it worth to spend extra money for A10 comparing to Emotiva?
Thanks Randy, but I'm a bit confused - isn't your favorite amp(from a sound perspective) the Unicon primo ? I'm actually debating which one to get right now so would appreciate your feedback on it. Thx.
The worst thing for me on the Advance Paris is that the tone controls have increments of two db at a time, which should be one at a time, it makes a lot of difference.
I would like to add a little bit of criticism, I would have liked to see the volume on the remote on the left side like all of my other remote controls. I go to turn up the volume and it switches the input. Drives me nuts.
This is an amazing Int Amp and has everything. But, contrary to the video, it does not have bluetooth. It has a slot for a bluetooth receiver (sold separately).
I would love a special on the best dac amp to go with the WiiM range especially given the numbers of people wanting to dive into hifi since they started releasing affordable stuff, just a thought
I had to pause your video at the Toy Boat, and called my 3 kids, and bet them that they can't say quickly 5 times...guess what... they all messed up the 3rd time! Lol😂😂
Im legit just letting music play using roon. Caribbean Queen Billy Ocean came on. A song I remember coming on the radio when I was a kid. I’ve never heard that song like this. Wow!!! Funky!! Then Holy Diver, Dio came on. Just wow!!!
Just watched an earlier video with you mentioning the polk t15 speakers, my first venture into what I thought were hi-fi budget speakers, pleased i didn't take them as examples of hifi LOL, probably the worst speakers ever, still got them Cos I'm too ashamed to give them away, sound like you put your speaker into a car boot, loving the reviews and humour
I've listened to Rubicore - in a shop, with optimal electronics..... Was slightly disappointed. Yes - detailed. Yes, a dynamic, nice sound... But it is NOT x 2 of the Opticon ! Very much NOT. Look - yes. They do look much better. As a matter of fact - upgrading ( changing the components to slightly better ) the crossovers and the cabinet of the Oberon series, will give a strong improvement in sound, for far less 💰💰💰 - 'done that - not a fictional remark. I too like the look of Adv. Paris - can't find in my surroundings...... 🤔
2:43 Wait...! I have to worry about fiberglass in my mattress??? Full disclosure; I have a 100% natural latex mattress, so I don't have to worry personally. I'm just alarmed in general 😮
Hi, I pay TH-cam every month in order to not have commercials on my videos, and yet you are then putting an over 2-minute commercial for bedding at the beginning of your video. This is way over the line in terms of a commercial on a TH-cam video. Please don't do this anymore. Thank you.

Plz use a cleaning wipe before your amazing quality videos. You left some chocolate on the Open / Close and Track Back buttons on the remote control. We have talked about this before. Ask your wife to clean the glass coffee table. Just kidding Randy. Keep eating the holiday stover chocolates before a shoot. Or pay your kids to do a little pre-production cleanup? Because I know you spend like 15 hours on the MacBook creating the content.
I like you, Randy, but it’s funny that all you TH-cam is talk about all the products how good they are just to get a cut back from the manufacturer for example today you were talking about mattresses how do you go from being a cheap body man to talk about mattress just to get a cut back so it’s somewhat clicks on your link. They’ll get it cut back. Come on Randy be serious. You’re supposed to be talking about audio stuff, not mattresses. Haha
For a $2k speaker that lacks bass extension (I mean Dali Op6), I would rather add $3k and buy the Atlante 5 by Revival. Neither of them qualifies as budget gear anymore, but the additional investment for the incremental refinement in sound is worthwhile.
@@dademack3544 Now you are talking if you are talking about beemer 740i. I could tell you it is definitely worth the upgrade. 3 series would probably give you one-day happiness but 7 series is life-long ultimate experience.

I hope they subject it to a blind test.

Cheapaudioman gradually turning into the exact opposite😅
Do you think that the advance paris x-i75 is the little brother (with similar sound signature) of the A10?
Randy, question. Do you know if the advance Paris has Horne theater bypass?
I have to admit I was surprised that the A10 Classic wasn‘t included in your best amps video. Nice to see you rectified that!
