That's good advice 👍 It seems like I do remember an instructor telling me that the release arm was in, but his trailer wasn't locked in. That would be horrible for it to come loose on the road!

When I’m going to a new yard that I’m not familiar with I like to check on google earth & street view, sometimes it helps to see where to go. Great video Dillon. 👍🏽

Informative video! These videos help alot. I looked at Roehl, but they didn't have any routes in my area for new grads. I got an application in to Epes, we will see what happens!
Really consider this company, I got my CDL back in 2019 but never used it. Need a refresher course having a hard time finding a company for that. This was an awesome video, Godspeed man.

Was that place by chance called Owens-Illinois I recognize the pallets of glass. I work at O-I in PA. EDIt- Oh yeah thats an O-I I can hear the ol hot end churning out that glass baybeee. The first place that you got canceled.
She goes "They're notorious for mixing numbers" Then right after a totally random trucker goes "They got my numbers wrong"😂😂😂 i think it's the place, not Roehl

Thank you very much for the kind comment 🙏 The hiring process went good. It was mainly through email and over the phone and then I had to get my commercial learners permit and do a DOT physical. Cdl training lasted around 3 weeks and I have videos on the process if you're interested! Riding with my trainer as well 👍

I really want to get my cdl with Rhoel but I don’t have my own vehicle as of now……do they provide transportation to training? and how much would it cost?
They do not provide transportation to the terminal as far as I know. It does not cost you anything up front for the gycdl program. You have to get your permit and a dot physical first which does cost some money. I have videos on that as well. But if you break their contract for 120,000 miles you do owe them $7000. As long as you complete the contract you don't owe them anything for the gycdl program.
With all of the wasted time are you getting any pay for the time you spent on the canceled load? And the drive time also involved in the travel time both ways?
You do get paid for the miles. But from what I understand, you don't get paid for sitting on the dock until you've been there for 2 hours.
Bro one question does roelh actually have ride to the training yard, and they cover the travel and logging?
I had to pay for my transportation to the roehl terminal. Once you get there, they have a ride for the first day, but after that, you have to find someone in your group to ride with unless you have your vehicle with you, but they do cover the hotel and your breakfast and lunch. I have some videos on the whole process if you’re interested 👍

Do you still get paid for canceled loads?
You get paid per mile and then for sitting on the dock if its over 2 hours.
What do you use to record?
My phone and a gopro now as well.

@@zakarycavenaugh9667 when I ordered the GoPro, it came with a bag with a lot of different mounts and attachments. I use some of the ones that it came with. They are very handy!

Did you say vegetarian? BLASPHEMY!! Lol. I wont hold it against you but animal protein is the absolute best form of protein. That’s just a fact. Good luck though.
😂 I didn't think I would ever say I was gonna try a vegetarian diet myself lol. I've always been a meat lover. I've tried so many different diets, including carnivore where I only ate meat. But I got so sick of meat and craved greens and fruits. I'm gonna experiment with it and see how it goes. I feel hopeful about it. I'm around 273 now. I'd like to get down to 230-240 and maintain around there if can. It's a huge change for me, that's for sure! It's always good to hear from you. You will be starting the gycdl program soon, right? I hated being away from my family during that time period too but it went by so fast!
