Amazing colour scheme, been trying to figure out what scheme I should rock and this has the best ive seen in my search. will need to swap out the AK paint with vallejo and citadel equivalents because im not dealing with the European shipping fees and I won't do the spots on his head cuz they look kinda goofy but apart from those two things spectacular tutorial.
@@col.festus nah I live downunder and we have a problem hear where you cat find Ak or army painter bottles by themselves. thankfully AK has a list that tell you paint paint you can sub in.
Great video as always. I'm having some trouble with the vms matt not wanting to spray properly. It seems to atomise in the spray instead of hitting the model wet. Do you thin yours down at all?
Hi, I am new to painting. Thx for the tutorial! I want to buy a wet pallet, vallejo (game color?) and some simple brushes. I already got the primer. Any feedback on this? And what is the difference with coating with matt varnish alone vs gloss & varnish?
Hey there! I like the army painter wet pallet, it’s the one I use. The matte varnish is used to achieve the look I want but offers little production, the gloss varnish offers very durable protection. By the nature of matte it can rub off over time leaving your mini unprotected. I use both to get the protection I want without any of the shine :)
Do you have any experience with Vallejo Model Color and if so how does AK 3rd Gen differ if at all. I ask because I already own a large portion of the Model Color range in my collection and I’m wondering if I should stop expanding upon it and instead buy AK 3rd Gen?
I do. I love matte paint, Vallejo isn’t always matte. They also tend to have variable coverage, albeit most of them are great. I just prefer AK more for the matte and color selection

I don’t but I use a 0.4mm nozzle. It’s designed to spray on HEAVY

How much time do you allow between GLOSS VARNISH and Matt VARNISH?
About 1 - 2 min under a hair dryer
