No, you should perhaps consider replacing the thermal paste under the logic board.
My OnePlus 2 year old,, battery is very high drain around 3 hours normal play time,,,, and heating issue my OnePlus problem 😢

Replacement should be fine but make sure the part you buy. Bad battery will have further issues, try install good OEM or genuine
