Usually the hands I have him review, I'm not limping since they are bigger pots. I like limping in $1/3 if I feel like there are opponents who will pay off monsters (e.g. I flop two pair+ and they will call down value bets or raises with one pair)
Profitable poker can get boring, that’s why you gotta make the best of your good hands left the table yesterday.. in for $500 out for $1600 after 4 hours and I think I played maybe 10 hands, never been that card dead but won some big pots when I had hands
Card dead means that u dont get any good hands to win big pots with. U were not card dead. U caught some cards. In fact, u ran extremely well since u won big pots with the few hands u caught.
@@trulygxld6885 I have actually started tracking the number of hands I see (not played specifically but just dealt) to remind myself that I may not actually be card dead, but that we just don't see a ton of hands live. So far for 2024 as a recreation player the avg hands seen/hr is just 22.8 over 418.48 hrs.
Profitable poker is often boring. Nobody goes to the cardroom thinking "I'm going to fold 85+% of the hands dealt to me," but if you're willing to do that, play tight preflop, you'll be avoiding the biggest mistake fish make (getting involved in too many hands).
Great vlog! Sometimes your raise sizes seem inconsistent. Do you have a standard preflop raising amount (i.e. open for $15 and add $3-$5 per limper and add $3-$5 if out of position SB-UTG+1)? I used to open to 125% of the pot in all positions except the cut off and button (which was 100% pot). Now, I usually open for $15 in all positions and add $5 for every two limpers (rounding up) and adding $5 when in the SB, BB, UTG, and UTG+1. In position, my three-bets are 100% pot-sized raises and out of position, my three-bets are 125% pot.
When someone says a poker session was boring, thats the thinking of a recreational player looking for entertainment in poker. A serious player looks to make correct decisions for longterm profit, not looks to be entertained. Although, a serious player himself can make it entertaining for recreationals by being somewhat social. But thats different.
im ngl idk if i would have called that jam with two pair, i guess you were at that table so you know how your opponent was playing, sometimes they will show you Jack queen for the straight, I mean cbet to 100 on 90 and then jamming i think jack queen, ace 10 pocket kings, pockets 10s was def on his range, good call, i guess your gut told you to, also he was short stacked, Im not sure what i would have done.
Congratulations on the Win at the Wynn, it’s always feels good to win after a big punt. I always stay away from the Orleans, Red Rock and South Point too many Tight Regular Old Man Coffee’s hard to make money in those situations.
You said you were going to avoid bomb pots. I try to avoid them also. Curious, does your casino's play a bomb pot every dealer change? That is what is common here in Florida, double board bomb pot every dealer change.
Usually no at RW unless Mario the Wynn dealer (from last episode) is playing who tries to encourage it lol Back in Washington, I play the Carribean Poker Room and bomb pots every dealer change (30 min) is very common
@@MagikarpPoker no! but kj and qj suited I’d say are more premium hands in 1-3 as long as the opener isn’t a SUPER NIT. bad players are going to be opening much worser hands and if you can play better cards in position to isolate then that’s profitable. don’t want it to only be queens-aces. “Balancing” would be more stuff like 45 suited-910 suited that type of stuff.
Is coach Aero encouraging these limps preflop during hand reviews?
Limping suited aces is good keep all the lower flush draws in ya dig

Boring tight poker sucks sure but if you enjoy the game and playing poker that shouldn’t matter much for you.

Anyone with half a brain wouldn't pay you off if you only played 10 hands in 4 hours unless they got really unlucky

What about at night after 7pm?
