Looks so sick jack, if you wanted to shine it up a little and preserve the metal on the tractor, spray it with a oil/diesel mix, will shine it up beautifully and protect it too!

Get some stuff called Sweet Patina sauce and wipe down the mower with it. You’ll love how cool it looks after that. And it protects the metal from further rusting. I’m rocking an old 72 Snapper Comet with a brand new Kohler 12 hp on it. My original Briggs blew up going up a hill. It’s not perfect and throws a belt here and there. But, I love it.
Maybe do some May clear to keep it from getting worse but I like the old look as well. I need one my lawn is to big for my push mower I’m beat after I’m done.
Yeah most old cast iron motor lawn tractors are like that. I have a 1974 Sears garden tractor with a cast iron motor and its the same design. The threads can get pretty rusty though so if you were going to remove the pipe you'd have to be extra careful not to snap the pipe off in the head.
Man has a 3 rotor, but chooses to play with tractors. Respect

I think you can yes. But the classes are weight specific too so too much weight can bump you to the next weight class.
