  • There are a lot game series that I would like to get in to. I do mean a lot. like I probably will never get to play all of them in my life time a lot. 2 of those game series are Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei. Both series are big and while I would love to experiance both series I am unsure to enter such commitment yet.
So after some thinking I asked myself, why choose between one of the two series to start with if you can have both! And then it hit me! All I had to do was turn Shin Megami Tensei around. literally. Making it Tokyo Mirage Sessions Sharp FE Encore. Which is a game I remember from back in the day. It actually at some point in my life made me consider buying a Wii U as I absolutely fell in love with the trailer from back in the day. But most importantly this game supposable is a crossover between both series.
So who knows! Maybe the game offers the best of both worlds? Maybe something better and unique? Maybe it’s a nice steppingstone for entering the other series. Or is there a dark reason why this game doesn’t appear on any timeline of both series? Welp lets find out.

Damn. The game and gameplay look cool. Character designs like Fire Emblem (but modern) and enemy design more like persona if I would have to guess. But the game looks cool

This game is great but doesn't really represent either titular series particularly well, in general the tone and story are more Persona, particularly the more stylized Persona 3, 4 and 5.
The battle system is similar to that found in Shin Megami Tensei, turn-based with a heavy emphasis on buffing and debuffing and a "Press Turn" gimmick (Similar to Sessions, hitting weaknesses grants you extra turns).
On the Fire Emblem side, the contributions are more cosmetic outside of some battle skills (Everything physical, in contrast to the elemental magic which is for the most part taken from SMT); Mirages, both named and generic enemies, have FE classes and their usual weaknesses (Flying units being extremely weak to archers, for example) and of course the Mirage characters are based on the main characters of the Achanea/Ylisse line of games, the Masters are also designed to reflect FE characters, with the classic blue-haired lord, the dark and brooding witch, the hot-headed cavalier and so on.

Intelligent systems the fire emblem devs and atlus the SMT devs were going nowhere
With the original pitch of SMTxFE so partway through development it got "canceled " and a new 3rd product that both teams came up with came out TMS#FE
