Portland is sneaky good. Great technical skill all-around, composed, scary counter attack, and they aren’t afraid to take players on. Their movement in tight spaces and passing in the final third also stands out.
As a timbers fan, they are an amazing team at home, away not so much... We will see how they do on Saturday against RSL. Need to start winning away games.
@@luishernandezzzz Just moved to portland so I’m not a true fan quite yet, and my perspective is limited. But from the games I’ve watched it’s apparent the talent they have. My team is Nashville SC and they are in the weeds right now. Portland plays the way I wish Nash would play (fair to say they’ve had more time to build). But at least the Timbers are winning at all which is something I can’t say for NSC right now 😐

Broadcasters were quick to praise McCarthy's double save at 5:15, but where that save is good, Crepeau's save at 6:01 is world class. With the deflection, his timing was thrown off, and making that adjustment when you've already started to move is SO hard

Because it rains 6 months out of the year in Portland and any natural grass field turns into mud.
The stadium is built over a creek, and when it rains, it used to flood the whole stadium. So it's turf now to prevent that from happening.
