    Great Video Rob! I love being able to use not 1 but 3 or 4 DrawBridges to use 4 real floppy drives at once!!

    hello Rob and congratulations on your result !! YOU ARE A GENIUS! not only that ... you were the first in history to be able to use a simple PC floppy to load our old glories! in the face of those who have speculated about it so far! I noticed that the green case of the black floppy is very nice and I'm looking for one too ... did you print it or did you buy it on some site? Thank you

      Hi, it's something I 3D printed. You can find the model at www.thingiverse.com/thing:2824673

    I like this very much. Will there be linux support in the future? With a Pi4 or Pi400 being a good hardware platform for emulation, a modded slim diskdrive as extension would be pretty cool...

    • @RobSmithDev
      @RobSmithDev  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Already is. Current version of Amiberry supports this and the next version supports Hd floppy’s too

      @@RobSmithDev That's great news.
      Actually I just ordered aeberbach A600 keyboard PCB's for making a cherry or kalith A600 keyboard. There is a keycap designer on thingiverse, so you can resin print custom keycaps in the right A600 design. With Dysub transfer you can label them properly. So a mechanical A600 keyboard should be no problem at all. The keyboard controller is more complex, as the original a600 has the keyboard controler on board. So I think about handwire an esp32 (and a multiplexer due to the large number of lines in the matrix) to the conector, to make the keyboard a PC bluetooth keyboard. I think about mounting the LEDs on switches, to get aditional keys fn and f11 later.
      If you take a look to an A600 it looks a bit like a keyboard in a docking station. This is exaktly what I want to do: First making a Bluetooth A600 keyboard for emulators, later a "docking station" with Pi4 (or Pi 5 or Pi 6, depending on the time needed), Floppy and Slot-in CD/DVD drive. With the keyboard inside the docking station it would look like an A600 - but of course more powerful and even usable as a "normal" office PC with Raspbian.
      The reasons I want an A600 emulator case, not an A1200 one: It would be compact almost like a Pi400, but looking like a real amiga and having integrated CD and floppy. While aeberbach also made an a1200 keyboard PCB and the a1200 looks also like a keyboard in a docking station, the size of the case is beyond everything you can print with affordable fdm printers in one piece with textured powder coated spring steel (the maximum "affordable" is 410 by 410 size of an Anycubic Chiron). And I definitly want the surface finish you can get with powder coated spring steel on FDM printers...

    Hi Rob, AMAZING work, I just bought a Greaseweazle from Keir at his home, great guy! - I have installed it in WinUAE and I cannot find an option (apart from drive A and B for PC) to select 'drive 0' for an Amiga TEAC drive I have connected. It works fine with the Greaseweazle ripping, so I know things are ok.

    • @RobSmithDev

      Interesting, didn’t imagine anyone using anything other than a PC drive. Technically no reason why not. I’ll have a look when I update this next

    Hi, Rob thanks for great job. I use your plugin with my greaseweazle and latest WinUAE version. Is it possible floppy drive Write-protected untick. I've tried my winuae as a normal and Run as administrator both of them cant remove write-protect tick in WinUAE.

    • @RobSmithDev
      @RobSmithDev  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm that might be a WinUAE bug! I suggest setting it as a normal drive, unticking, and the. Setting the floppy bridge drive again.

    Is there any way to get FB working with FS-UAE? I had assumed that since both are based on the UAE that I could plop FB into FS-UAE's plugin folder but no dice :/

    • @RobSmithDev
      @RobSmithDev  ปีที่แล้ว

      FS-UAE, and in fact all UAE variants actually use the code from WinUAE, for some reason no one has decided to add those changes yet. I suspect it won’t happen unless I do it when I get time. But there no technical reason

      Hi, I assume you’ve got it to read disks normally using the GW tools?
      try this short tutorial:
      th-cam.com/video/Tb8JxzXvCUU/w-d-xo.html
      If you still can’t get it to work after that then either ask on my discord channel or try the Greaseweazle Facebook group.

      Yeah it will sometimes. Xcopy does something really unusual with disk change. It doesn’t use the sensor in the drive

    Hoping to bring my Amiga text documents over to PC. Is this possible this way? I have lots of essays etc. to bring over to the future PC from the 80s and 90s.
    Is it possible?
    I knew there was drive you could by that word read files from the Amiga disk to IBM at one point. But that's so long ago.
    I hope it's easier now.
    I have a lot of disks sitting collecting dust. I still have the Amiga 500. But I would like to bring text files over to PC.

    • @RobSmithDev
      @RobSmithDev  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah very easy, if you setup a folder as a hard drive then you can copy files between them. Either that or save the disk as ADF and then use ADFOpus to copy the files out

      @@RobSmithDev I'm glad. I have Amiga Forever also. But haven't used it in years.
      So thank you. I will try this.
      Someone said I could return to the Amiga and save the text file as a plain text file which then can be read by pc. Once saved on a PC floppy?

    • @randymulder9105

      @@RobSmithDev so save the disk as an add file like you would a game....but instead a folder full of essay text files...then open in ADFopus. Is this program readily available? This sound amazing. So then I have a Amiga text file open in that program which I then can transfer to word? Will it be really broke and corrupted? Or does the PC recognize the text?
