I did something similar, but instead of using paracord, I just drilled a 3/4” hole through my phone and clipped a carabiner on it, which then clips through the hole I drilled through my hand. Pros: it works very well to keep my phone in place! Cons: 1) my phone shut off after drilling the hole through it and doesn’t seem to want to turn back on for some weird reason 🤔 2) I think I might have gangrene in my hand now, and it’ll probably have to be amputated, 3) it’s painful. So thanks for uploading this video! I’m going to try your way next time! 😂

I put mine through the power hole and the added a loop for my finger. Its way better. I also took the core string out so it would lay flatter in the case
Love the Dbrand Case with the paracord strap on the back combo!!! I'm going to have to steal this idea but instead use it on my S22 Ultra! I knew I needed a new skin for my case for a reason! lol.

i have a similar phone, s23 ultra. where do you thread the other end of the paracord? through the camera hole? wouldn't that block the camera
@@thickschmeat7560 If you thread it through the camera hole for the 120x zoom lens you shouldn't see the strap in the frame when taking shots
That's cool, but you might want to find a way to secure it to the phone that doesn't go inside the case. It's probably not a huge deal, but that one line being raised up in comparison to the rest of the phone focuses the impact if the phone were ever to fall onto it's back. Same force through a smaller area means higher psi spike on the spots effected.
There might be a way to attach it to the corners of the case directly which would eliminate that issue tho.

@@dumpsterfire9797 not overthinking, just speaking from experience since I was a phone repair tech for six years.
I used microcord, and my case has two little lanyard fixture points on either side, so it's subtle and quite secure
I would add some buckles. That would allow to use it un that way, and to hang it wherever.

This looks amazing! One question though, wouldn't the cord running through the inside apply stress/pressure to the backside of the phone overtime?
I personally would just out the inner strands then it would be much thinner.
No because it’s very thin paracord I know some people that put cards and cash behind there phone case and it dies nothing. This is thinner than both those items

I have one of those casetify bubble cases with the holes that you can loop small cord lanyards through and wanted to get the cord variant right.

You do realize there are people out there with disabilities and have compromised dexterity or are missing fingers because of accidents or disease/illness right?
I never dropped mine either, and I got no case on it cuz I don't need one... some of us just pay more attention to things.
