it makes me wonder, safi armor has really good set bonus, but running it makes us unable to run crit element (as there is no crit ele deco so far, god even lvl 3 deco would be neat) so is this possible to make hybrid safi/velkhana that would deal slightly less elemental damage but benefits from crits to ramp that damage even higher?
only thing I'd like to know is how many buffs are you useing to get those phial numbers cause mine hit for like 90 each on monsters weak to the element.

Sorry this is late...he doesn't charge the sword because he's focusing on using SAEDs to do damage. He already has the Focus skill, so he only stays in sword mode long enough to charge phials, reposition, then use SAED

Because Glider mantle lasts longer than the other mantles to my knowledge and has a faster cool down than some of them out there and has better deco slots so yeah

Currently my phial damage is 100 each Note : currently i'm using Diablos tyrannis III Mixed set My offensive skills are artilerry 3, focus 3, weakness exploit 2, attack 4, Elementless, capacity boost
Your phial damage is pretty much as good as it gets for impact phials. You can run zorah set for artillery secret, but while you will be getting bigger phials, your overall dps will go down. A zorah set can get 130-140 phial damage, but crit sets make up the difference in raw damage from sword and axe hits. For impact phial sets, you'll want artillery 3, focus 3, weakness exploit 3, critical boost 3, however much critical eye you need to get 50% afffinity (which becomes 100% with weakness exploit), as well as offensive guard 3. It's a long list, but you can fit it all in + health boost 3 with proper gear. You can also drop focus 3 and artillery 3 and go for a physical savage axe playstyle, but it's hard to get optimal damage with this unless you're exclusively hitting softened weakspots, and have the monster locked down on the ground. Take a look at this video for a good example: th-cam.com/video/PdCV5wmddR4/w-d-xo.html For elemental phials built for SAED, you'll want to pretty much copy the build in this video with safi set, or a Master's Touch build with 3 Teostra pieces if you're on PC and don't have safi yet. Elemental phials are not affected by artillery, so you just want maxed elemental damage to increase your phials. For savage axe elemental CB, you should run True Critical Element with a 4 piece set (since you're using tyrannis 3, I assume you haven't seen this monster yet, but you'll find it after the main story). You'll also need to max out your affinity and elemental damage, and all the rest is personal preference for savage axe build. I personally don't run focus since you spend less phials in savage axe. If you're still in the story, elemental CB will be hard to use, since you'll need to be upgrading several weapons all at once, so I recommend you stick to impact phials and upgrade your tyrannis into the Acidic Glavenus CB. You can still pick up the Beotodus Ice CB, which is the best Ice CB very early in the game, so you can pick that one up very easily if you want to give elemental a try. If you're up against a soft monster, or one you can easily soften with the clutch claw, also try out the savage axe playstyle, since you don't need to change your build for it. Softening the head and landing savage axe AEDs on it is the most common strategy for savage axe. Hope this helps!

HaRt BoXeR Of course, I start this on the 1st day it drop not just CB I almost complete collecting for all weapon type with diff ele and status. And it is way easier than Kulve, if all you want is these fire CB before collecting rewards just change to equip CB then collect the rewards. And fire ele is quite easy to get for every weapon type. And partly also due to me quite lucky always get a good party never keeps dying and focus on breaking parts so my reward quality is always high and have more options to choose from.

Cause he is getting an inate 40 affinity with the armor. Plus affinity caps at a 100 affinity therefore its useless to add more affinity
