you are right, i mixed up the DropDownButton with the DropDownButtonFormField which doesn't need a setState to reflect the change of the value to the UI, but that actually rises up the question: Why, How?!

I generally love your videos and consider them among the best on TH-cam: full of information I need, with an easy to listen to voice, great pacing, and no rubbish to wade through. However, this video was almost impossible for me to watch and I didn't take in the actual content very well. The initial intro and even the breaks between the segments were very loud, flashy, and distracting. This seems totally out of character with the rest of the video (and the elegant style of your Flutter apps). I am not against you experimenting with your format, but I would be extremely grateful if this did not become the future standard.😭
