Ehh more like a year or so. These guys work on multiple mod projects at a time. Most of Revens revenge is just a port of Thrawns revenge which is a solid great mod upon itself. Hopefully they add a single planet start full map which they refused to do for thrawns revenge
Thrawn's Revenge has had a single-planet start for like a decade called From the Ground Up, which I also say in this video will be part of RR on release, even showing the Republic version in the video. I dunno where you got the idea we "refused to add one"
I remember playing a KotOR EAW mod back in 2008. It was very basic, with very few land units outside of heroes, infantry, and light speeders. It was mainly space-focused, but the Sith didn't even have bombers. However, I do remember a land battle in Galactic Conquest where the Republic was invading an underprepared Korriban I controlled as the Sith. My army was wiped out almost immediately except for Revan and Malak (functionally reskins of vanilla Vader and Palpatine). The two fought side-by-side and held off Republic troops, speeders, and those biped droid tanks from KotOR 2 for nearly a half hour. I just kept rebuilding a bacta station for them to heal at and they held off the Republic until they finally retreated. Probably my most epic moment in EAW, and I can't wait to see what a far more fleshed out mod can do with the era.
Yeah I would have considered that a great fit for this mod. I'd have made the Mandalorian Wars Era1 and make SWTOR the Final Era. None the less... I'm happy to see this mod getting closer to an initial release. I'm excited play with those beautiful Republic ships.

This is amazing! These are mechanics I only ever dreamed of and its so great to see someone implement them in a game. Its the sole reason I have had an interwst in learning to code. You guys are an inspiration!

I'm very excited to play this mod! KotOR was one of my first Star Wars experiences, and I have VERY fond memories of running around tables, shooting enemies that are chasing me with a vibroblade! Thought about joining the Beta, but I don't have nearly as much time as I'd like to play and give feedback, so I think I'll wait for main release.

Also, Active Sith during the Mandalorian Wars…who’d be the Master in that case? Also also, I’m slightly confused-I thought the Mandalorian Wars were just the Republic vs Neo-Crusaders. So does that mean the Republic didn’t literally fight them for like 17 years and the term includes their conquest of the Outer Rim?
Jorak Uln is one of the active sith during the Mando Wars era. The Mandalorian Wars are split into multiple phases and the majority of the time were just Mandos doing skirmishes in the outer rim, with only the assault on Vanquo and Suurja kicking off the actual war against the Republic.
@@joelmcfly5172 Had to look him up, surprised that I recall encountering him in the game, then realized he’s basically a Sith Version of the Riddler (I was originally gonna go with a Sith Joker, but that didn’t fit much). Were Vanquo and Suurja when they pulled a “Consequences of Power” and nuked a bunch of planets, or did that happen later?
@@ZKP314 they did that basically the entire time lol. Vanquo in particular is the center piece of the second arc in the KOTOR comics. It's when they stop testing the borders and actually push towards Republic planets
I'll go ahead and say that I'd love the Krath, or at least some of their ships in the mod at some point. I love how overtly-WW2 they look, with their capitals the the silhouette twin-engine bombers or water battleships. Nevertheless, I'm absolutely excited to try out the 3 current factions, and wonder which one I'll like the most in terms of playstyle. I love that there is attention to government/progression mechanics to unlock units and not just throwing in a static roster and calling it a day. I love that eco/tech progression type stuff in these games, especially when it's tied to holding key locations. As a side note, also really love the custom GC mode introduced with the latest TR version, and hope to see it find its way into FotR eventually. One thing I would like is if custom GC had a full/known galaxy map instead of just sharing FTGU's map.

I'm glad you are covering just these 3 ears first. I hate the cold war mmo Era so much it jumped the shark hard and kinda killed the mysterious transformation of revan.

It will be interesting to see how you will implement differences from this era compared to FotR and T'sR. Is it going to be mostly visual differences, or will there be some "mechanical" differences? Like new weapon-types, more focus on missiles/projectile weapons in space, ground units using pre-blaster technology, etc.?
We've seen bombers use proton torpedoes, rather than proton rockets and proton bombs, for example, so yeah, definitely some distinctiveness in gameplay feel.
i wish you did focus on the grander period of old republic instead of kotor the great war , the cold war , the second great war , the eternal empire and more . kotor as cult classic it can be its lore is more like a prologue to the real events of old republic
I haven't played emperor at war yet. Only galactic battlegrounds. Only after seeing the preview of this mod do I feel like maybe I want to get it and play it.
I’m not gonna lie, I’d be perfectly fine with the sith having just the interdictor with different variations like carrier and battleship and the republic having the same for the hammerheads and the smaller one but I guess that’s just me. lol

You mentioned something about Interdictors on the Republic side before they were co-opted by Revan’s Empire, will they have an alternate paint scheme similar to the Hammerhead and others?
Is there anyway for a single planet start but with heroes included such as all spawning over time maybe after several weeks or certain pop cap reach limit, just a idea i have always wanted to try and do if its possible at least.
I really like how AOTR has fleet travel times, where hyperspace is still somewhat lore accurate. Where crossing the galaxy can still take ~a week. Especially since it seems we are adding interdictors to every faction in other mods: CIS, Republic, Empire, Sith, Mandalorian, Hutts. Sucks losing a fleet because you cant tactically retreat from most battles.
They straight up don't exist in the mod yet, though they will as a non-playable eventually. They are very much outside of the scope of the mod, it may happen years from now, but I'd say abandon that expectation.
Hey, so I’m new to this pc stuff . What do I need and what type of laptop do I need to play this mod? I only have the game empire at war ( golden version with forces of corruption) on 💿. But I want to start playing mods of it, like this and the clone wars . Any help?
We don't have any plans to do that at this point. We have plenty of work with our existing mods, and we would have to redo a lot of the assets we have to fit what Sins 2 requires of its textures, especially.

Hey Corey, i was wondering if there is a solution to a problem im having with Empire at war. Whenever i enter combat (ground and space) my game crashes. The only mode that works is galactic conquest, but if i enter combat there, it crashes. I dont know if its something to do with your mods or a game issue etc.
We have what we want in there for the first release. We are at the point where we have the core necessary content, and it makes more sense to start having more playtime on it rather than solidifying more things under even more content. If we add a bunch more ships before we decide what is or isn't working, it becomes much harder to change.

Land battles are tedious to me in thrawn's revenge and fall of the republic... However: DEFENDING on land is ALWAYS awesome.

The mechanics incorporated into the base EAW Game by this mod are absolutely insane. Phenomenal job, disagreements on Starship Minutiae aside.

There are some new (or old, from a certain point of view) weapon types coming, including pulse-wave guns
