    Actually the class 201 doesnt go up to 125 mph only 160 km/h or 100 mph

      Thanks for the information I was referring to the Mark 4 locomotive at the other end pulling the carriage the opposite way.Which can reach this speed the 201 is used sometimes on this route and yes Irish rail have speed restrictions on there lines I learn something new every day 👍❤️

      The @mark 4 @
      "locomotive" at the other end is merely a Driving Van Trailer (DVT) which allows the 201 at the rear to be driven remotely. The train is thus effectively "pushed" back to Dublin by the loco at the rear and cannot reach 125mph.@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise

    as a local man i like to travel by train all the time i have free pass i am very lucky to have in ireland due to high cost of living as i hate to pay for ticket cost too dea i.e. westpor to dublin shoub be 20 euro very dear. i heard that trin
    not safer for me due to gun attack i am fearsome guy i preft taking a bus sfer than train..i am very frightened can help i cannot go on my own i am very frienghted!
