Ya'll have no idea how excited I was when I found out adobe collaborated with Hillier, this guy is the absolute man. Hillier almost made me switch to Davinci Resolver so when I found out HE switched to my editing software, my heart was full of pure joy. Thank you so much team at Adobe! If I could suggest one thing Adobe, one feature that would make me stop rating you 1 one star every time you ask for my feedback, it would be this: Please make a button to "unlock the timeline" meaning, rather than only being able to scroll right to left, up and down, I could unlock it and use the hand tool to drag and move the timeline around freely. I create projects which sometimes have over 20 layers in audio, and 20 on top, and I spend so much time scrolling up and down, back and fourth, but with one feature from you, you would change my life. I will thank God personally on your behalf, and handwrite you a letter of appreciation. I wouldn't be the only one to use the feature, im sure many others including hillier would love that. Thats the one feature that almost sold me on resolve, so thank you guys for resolving it in the feature (Cause I know you love your userbase feedback)
You must have referred to Walter Murch's book: In the blink of an eye - which was said to be the bible of editing. In there, he mentioned that every blink of the eye is a change in thoughts. The rhythm and pacing of that shot is determined by the subjects' blinking. Every blink means something going on and as an editor, we have to take note of that! The "stare" technique was good though! Never thought of it! Thanks.
Have to say, as a pro editor, I’m not comfortable with the AI section. I get it can help advance storytelling and reduces budget, but it also takes work away from and minimises collaboration with artists in other fields. Not to mention the stealing - sorry, “scraping” - of human artworks that were used to trained the AI. This video makes me want to veer away from Premiere for normalising AI usage, and glossing over the many downsides and consequences of deploying it. Also, while I’m Frank Grimesing over here…”foreshadowing”’is not an editing technique, it’s a storytelling concept.
Try Premiere Pro: adobe.ly/4f0uA5Z

Only OG fans knows he used Final Cut Pro!

@@FPL_worm Maybe it's because he was wearing a Premiere Pro badge multiple times on his podcast.
@@Hi-HKhe started using premiere because of the work he was doing for Mr Beast
