Great Britain is ineradicable. I didn't know they had such quaint gorgeous back country regions. Everything looks so pure and balanced with the ecology. I thought it was all covered by urban sprawl. Good exploring.
Im from Stockport, England. I'm a truck driver and i can tell you GB is lush green rolling countryside almost everywhere. The thing is that the powers that be try to cram everyone in to the city's and that's what you see on TV and News. You once needed an airplane to know the truth if you were a poor working class miner or mill worker, today we all have cars and Google Earth🛩😉
That was so much fun. I know you all are so glad to be on the move. It is so awesome to see. Here in the US as this date things are all blowing up. From Nashville here. But so thankful to be able to skip away from all this and hop on board with you guys. You have no idea how good it is to escape with you all regardless of whether you are on the move or stuck aboard. But so glad for you all that you are exploring.
Loved Jess' happy dance! Congratulations being free again. I try to remember, and appreciate, that you have to walk/run three times the distance (out to place the camera, back to where you started and back to the camera). Especially appreciated when you're going up/down. Thank you. Beautiful walk and view. Enjoyed the sheep and the "Enchanted Forest". Love coffee ice cream! Good choice. Mocha Almond Fudge is my absolute favorite.
I know Im asking randomly but does anyone know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Adrien Blaine i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Hi guy's didn't realise you were here for that long, While in Plymouth I hope you managed to get to Mt Edgcome beautiful place to visit and the Pub the Edgcome Arms do a great carvery, well done look after yourselves. Cheers Geo.
I'm surprised that the English countryside by the water isn't more developed. It looks like it would be a beautiful place to live and build a nice home with a dock.
zoning laws, land ownership, and tradition prevent the entire country being turned into a playground for real estate speculators destroying everything to build McMansions.
So pleased for you and glad you found the positives from your long forced stay I took my speedboat down to Seaton last week for the first time this season and managed to get out twice. The sea air, the smells, the views oh unbelievable. I am learning to sail at my local club up in Worcestershire so one day maybe I can do some cruising. Hope to see you on the Jurassic coastline
Awesome! Good to see you wearing out shoe leather. Couldn't help to think your anchor feels loved - you know what I mean! Best 'til next week. :¬) Webhead USA
Fun fact: The biennial Foxglove is the only plant that can walk. The will always move toward water and having such shallow roots it looks like they walk from place to place. Digitalis purpurea.
I used Wikipedia for more info on the "Foxglove" but absolutely nothing identifies it as "walking" or being able to "move toward water" which all plant roots do.
I have loved your videos for a while now, I was especially fond of the music, "Pandemonium" was especially beautiful. I finally looked in your credits and found out who sang it. Wow, what a talented young lady, but man I am now bummed..... I still love your channel, but it did remind me just how cruel this world can be. Be nice people, the world does not need anymore ugly....
Foxgloves may get their name from the legend that Foxes wore the flowers on their paws to aid stealth. You might also venture deeper into Dartmoor and seek out one of 70 bronze age stone rows, "The Plague Market of Merrivale" is one of the best.
never understood the English name. In Dutch they're called (translated into English) thimbleweed because the flowers are the size and shape of a thimble. And yes, they're quite poisonous.
As far as we can gather, they had been working with the gov. of the Netherlands for a few months to get them special visas for entry. Possibly a temporary residency? We're not sure.
Loved the video... as I always do... who is the background music by that you play at various times thru it? No mention of it in the credits and I would like to listen to more from them/her.
Are you likely to get to Gosport, on Portsmouth Harbour? If you do, there's a drink and a meal waiting for you at the "Boathouse" here. ps, no locks here, but Eastbourne, Dover and Solent (top of Portsmouth Harbour) have them. Of those that haven't them, Brighton but especially Ramsgate can get very nasty with the wrong weather.
No where did y’all get your theme song from? I really like it a lot. Is it from free music share type of situation or did you actually pay somebody to create it for you? I’m just curious if the person that sings that song is aware that they are the start to a very popular TH-cam channels videos? If I was her I would find that to be amazing!!!!
Wow you guys have been away for awhile now. I know you have spoken of building a catamaran, will that be before you return to the states or are you building the cat in the UK
Still planning to do the catamaran build in the United States, but right now we're working to sell Elements over here if we can. If there are no buyers, we'll probably store her in August/September and fly back.
I am pretty sure that VHFs are licensed in the UK. How did you deal with that? Did you have to get a license for the VHF on the boat and an operator's license for one of you, or did they wave that because you're a foreign vessel?
Our one and only issue with England is that the summer is cooler than we'd wish, lol. There were a few good weeks there in May, but June and July (so far) have been about 5-8 degrees (F) cooler than what we usually like.
HI, my youngest daughter Lives 200 mtrs from the Burrator Dam her local for years has been the Burrator Inn very good friends with the landlord and and landlady. Could have got a free drink on me. Cheers Geo.
absolutely moronic that you can't sail, which is the ultimate social distancing. How can you not live aboard if that is your ONLY home? Politician LOL Glad you are back out.

Beautiful area. Glad to see y’all are on the move again, after seven months of lock down.
I do imagine it feels absolutely wonderful to be somewhat free again. Thank you for the video so much beauty. Wishing you safe travels. ⛵
✌ Yeah. Missed you guys. Glad youre OK and sailing again. Pete from Edina, Mn.
I love this countryside and coastline
Just wait for next week's episode, you'll really enjoy it! We make three trips to different areas to go exploring. 😀
A lovely day in the English countryside. Enjoy and be safe and well

7 months, doesn't seem long till you say it and it must feel longer having lived it ... Welcome back to freedom !! Stay Safe & Fair Winds !!
Freedom! Congratulations to you all
Thank you so much! 😍⛵
Very interesting about the lock system there and I am sure the locals are proud of their community.
Good video, glad you are back out and about exploring the world.
Good to see you back in the saddle... !

Mmmm, Mocha Almond Fudge! Now that's all I can think about, and I want some! 😍
Lovely episode guys. So glad you are on the move again. Xx
Worth a read. La vangabonde discussion of a new boat and reference to Chris White article on capsizing catamarans.
Excellent glad to see you both again enjoy and be safe COVID-19 is no joke just recovered from it ⛵️⛵️🙌🙌
Very beautiful 😀👍
Happy to see you back on the water and appreciate you sharing this. Happy sailing and stay safe.

@Adrien Blaine it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account !
@Allan Francis no problem =)
Nice video! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Cannot wait for you guys to start the new build stay safe the news out of the us sounds fairly scary good sailing
Congratulations on being released, enjoy the sun, sea and wind, we remain firmly locked down on the southern tip of Africa

@@jwenting I agree but it would be nice to get a slice of that pie just for yourself and no one else.
Great content, as always.
Glad to see you passing the lock of lockdown! Happy Sailing!!
Us too! 😀

The world is a different place when free.
You can say that again. 😉
The sheep was having a baaaad day! :-)
😂

That was beautiful.
Great Job!!! Thank You... :-)
Excellent
By far my favorite intro!
Cool
You should really go to the Isles of Scilly for a visit
Check our Facebook/Instagram account! 😂. @mattandjessicasailing
Well I may still be in "lock down" working from home, but this sure made feel just a little bit "free." Thanks for sharing.

A four star yelp review for Sutton Harbor. Happy voyaging again

Expecially living in the US with the current POTUS. Ugly inside and out.
at 10:00 my boat in the background, with me aboard :)
ponies and ice cream . well thats living ☺
Fascinating how we took freedom for granted, until covid.
Nice one on the anchor ball, but where was your motoring cone? 😜🍻
It's good to see you out and free to travel. How the UK avoids a second wave.
Could you give an update on how your night vision camera is holding up?
You guys are great, but I truly love Georgie-girl!
Hanging the anchor ball upside down - haha!
It's also a radar reflector ball. It increases your vessels radar reflection so other vessels can see you at night.
It's plastic, so no radar benefit there. But they do make metal ones for that reason.

@@jwenting thankyou Captain, that is interesting. In Britain Thimbleweed is a type of Anemone and is also toxic.

how much were the fee for the marina ??? your never put them no more on the recap spending sheet ... x have a nice time xxxx
Dude even rolls up a hose intensely... lol
Only when I instruct him to. 😂
Question ive only just come across your posting about your boat being for sale, How much is she???
Here is a link to all of her information: www.mjsailing.com/home-2/elements-for-sale/

Love the food in the Boathouse, well worth popping in for.
I just discovered your channel. Great video. Loved the music & songs. What were they please. The music section of the description is blank.
I only just discovered it too and I'm sailing mad! It pretty much all i watch so I've no idea how I missed it.

@@MJSailing James from Sailing Zingaro is looking for a boat just like yours.
Sorry if I'm asking a question that has been asked before. What's your thought on fiberglass vs aluminum boat? Great vid, btw :)
I want to go there. What the plan now, up to Sweden for the summer?
Still not sure what the plan is. As far as we're aware, having an American passport will keep you out of the EU right now.
Plymouth is a City :-) But you've made it look nice in your videos so all is forgiven... :-)
Wish me luck, I wish you luck.
GUYS,
Is Georgie Girl included with the boat ?
!
😱😭
What is your take on the English breakfast? Truthfully please, thanks guys.
Truthfully, lol, we've never had it!
I am pretty sure that VHFs are licensed in the UK. How did you deal with that? Did you have to get a license for the VHF on the boat and an operator's license for one of you, or did they wave that because you're a foreign vessel?
You're required to have a radio license issued by your country. The US is simply a form filled out and money sent in.... No test or anything -Matt
How did u find England I’m from the northwest 12 miles outside of Liverpool
Our one and only issue with England is that the summer is cooler than we'd wish, lol. There were a few good weeks there in May, but June and July (so far) have been about 5-8 degrees (F) cooler than what we usually like.
It’s clearly shown on the navigation charts and GPS.

Do you guys need to be tested for the virus? What if you are carriers?
No one has asked us so far to be tested. We'll just continue to behave as we have since March, and follow social distancing.
Did you go on the lift to clean ya bum before heading off. Must of been a bit hairy after all that time.
I get that Matt? And, Nothing2add2itUnlikeUnique!
You have a boat why did you stay in the city why didn’t you go when covid started
Where would we have gone? Travel was restricted.
:)
Head to the hamble river - let us know when you are there :)
It's on our list, we hope to make it!
absolutely moronic that you can't sail, which is the ultimate social distancing. How can you not live aboard if that is your ONLY home? Politician LOL
Glad you are back out.
Richard Getz i think she meant they couldn't move there boat.
