Imagine being able to go to your uncles for help with them taking you back to your dad or telling you to “forgive you dad” because he “doesn’t touch so it’s not abuse”, couldn’t be me
I wish I had someone like that to protect me when I needed it. My childhood wasn't that great. I still struggle with it to this day. Having a stepmother made things so much worse. I understand how this person feels.
I may not have been abused, or maybe I have... No one know if I was abused but I'm scared of getting hit but, Anyways, I've been abandoned until I was 14 months old then I got adopted and its been 12 years since then. And listening to this made me feel better thank you ❤
I called CPS on my father for my little sisters a few years ago for all the child endangerment. My step mom does her best but she can only do so much when it comes to him. He got out of it and a few years later he goes to jail for shooting a gun in public - to be fair in self defense and due to other circumstances I *do* believe him - I think those two things really put himself into perspective for himself and he’s… better. Still has a short temper but now at least you can tell he cares and is trying. They also got rid of all their guns and while he still drinks it’s not excessive(though he’s been working on that for more than a decade). I wish I had someone like the uncle in the video in my life growing up. Someone not necessarily that I could talk to just someone I could _trust._ I think what really makes me sad is I have a bigger sister that was never there for me, never really in my life at all. I know though that I’m never letting my sisters feel alone. I know I’ve done well because the older younger sister came out to me before the rest of the family. That made me feel good knowing she trusted me to keep it till she wanted to tell everyone else.
So glad I clicked on this video, as it gave me comfort from my situation. I am in a better place now, thankfully. While I did have my mother to support me, I can just imagine having my uncle there to support us. Thank you for doing this, it really helped.
I luckily have 4 siblings who I love and who love me and would definatly help me this way if my parents would ever turn crazy and abusive. Stay safe guys❤

Y lo malo es que acostumbré a ese castigo que cuando tenía como 8años empezé a golpearme las rodillas, los muslos, la cabeza, cada vez que cometía un "error" y mi tía me consolaba y me decía que me quería y que yo era suficiente, mi mamá también se disculpó con el tiempo y yo la perdono, pero en el fondo aún le tengo un poco de miedo, especialmente cuando alsa las manos de una manera brusca.

Wow for anyone to react like that hearing what all was done to me repeatedly. Literally everybody knew...uncles, aunts, their mothers in laws and sister in laws. Everyone who is or isn't a blood relative. When I stayed with aunt and uncle once because I'd just finished exams and wanted a break from home, uncle SA-ed me. And I realized then he's done this multiple times starting when I was about ten or even younger. So yeah. I'm not fucked up at all.

This reminds me of the time someone i consider my niece told me her dad hit her and i almost beat him up for it but i called their grandma and the cops, they stayed with me for 3 months while things were getting sorted out and never once do i regret any of it. If someone ever comes to you saying someone hit them listen to them even if its hard to hear

I’m listening to this after me, my mom, and my dad got into a fight. He started attacking my mom and I stepping and he started hurting me. I don’t know what to do now or how to help my mom. I picture this as my uncle, my dads brother talking to me. He’s always been there for me and helped me out so much. I’d give anything to have him here talking with me right now and talking to my dad about his anger problems. I just need someone, and this brought me some comfort.
