The lawnmower blenny in my old 60 cube was such an efficient algae eater that he decimated all the hair algae in my display tank single handedly, covering up my nitrate issues. Lol
I’ve kept 5-6 over 10 years cause i love them but one thing that i found was that not all will eat prepared food and some will eat till they explode. Unfortunately i had 3 that didnt make it because they wouldnt eat anything but i also had 2 or 3 that did very very well eating after a few days. But it wasnt a good thing either. I feed my tank twice a day and the blennies ate so much they became so fat and their stomachs explode. I had this happen to all the ones i managed to keep alive. I googled this and many people have the same issue where they eat so much they bloat up and eventually die. So now im scared to get a new one although i really love them. Starry blenny too.
@@ohno316 i bought one 3 months ago and it wont eat prepared food. Cleaned up the tank very well then i started putting seaweed on a rock. The blenny noticed my wrasse eating the seaweed and came over to take a bite. It has been hooked on seaweed since but i rarely put seaweed in the tank maybe once or twice a week only cause im scared it ends up like my other fat ones
Will they eat my macroalgae? I have some hair algae and want to get rid of it but still want to keep my other algae. Also, how are they with Mandarin gobies?
Blennys are all funny cool fish
This guy is the best is eating stuff all day off my rocks . They change color over time 😊
Loving the fish spotlights

This is why I like to use them in 90% of tanks I install, they save me time and effort😂 Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTVI have a tank full of “sea monkeys” and pods, will the lawnmower Benny destroy that?
Ohh this video is perfect timing for me 😜❤
What is the super colorful fish in that tank? Some type of wrasse?
I'm a newbie to saltwater 😄
I always walk up to mine and say " hey you can do mine when youre done with that" in a Carl Barron voice to him
hahaha
They are great additions. Mine hated me. He would launch out and do sneak attacks on my hand when I worked in the tank.
Guard Blenny!
My clowns bite me lol
Wonderful

Fine with mandarins. I’ve never seen them eat Chaeto, caulerpa or halimeda but other macroalgae I’m not sure sorry. Cam
My blenny eats anything and everything, he loves my wife whenever she goes to the tank he flips out and she doesn't even feed the tank.
My bleeny is a terror, he bashes my tangs lol
Do you happen to have another species such as the fake lawnmower aka “Blue spot Blenny” instead? They can be quite belligerent
Can I have 2 on a 45 gallons tank ??
