My Grandfather was rescued from Dunkirk after getting trapped on the beaches there, he survived the rescue and went on to be a part of the D-Day landings with the British Forces, 11 years before my father was born. By the grace of god go I.
I can’t imagine surviving one of those moments in history let alone both, he has always been my hero though sadly I never got to meet him.

The first trip my family took to Europe was camping in Normandy so that my father could see the graves where many of his friends were. Some decades later I found my great Uncles grave in Doudelaineville fair close by, a casualty of WW1. Quite frankly I cannot understand what Universe Sunak and his advisors were in.

The second stage of joint training of units of the armed forces of Russia and Belarus for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons took place in Belarus. We previously showed the first stage of the exercises, the military worked on receiving special training ammunition for the Iskander tactical missile system, equipping launch vehicles with them and covertly advancing to the designated position area. The exercises used Iskander missile systems with Iskander-K and Iskander-M missiles, Tu-22M3 aircraft with Kh-22 and Kh-32 missiles, and MiG-31 aircraft with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
The exercises are aimed at maintaining the readiness of personnel and equipment of units to use non-strategic nuclear weapons.

The Chinese authorities support Russia’s initiative to boost ties with North Korea, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian said.
"We are following these developments," he said in response to a South Korean journalist's question on how Beijing assesses the prospects for Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Pyongyang and whether the Chinese side was planning to organize a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. "Your question concerns the planning of contacts between Russia and North Korea. I am not comfortable commenting on this issue," he added.
According to the diplomat, China "welcomes the fact that Russia is strengthening and developing traditional friendly relations with relevant countries." He also recalled that China and North Korea also maintain good ties.
Lin Jian noted that Beijing and Pyongyang are celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. "If there is any information regarding the meeting between the Chinese and North Korean leaders, we will immediately publish it," he promised.
Earlier, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the Kremlin will inform the public on the dates of Putin’s visit to North Korea in a timely manner.

Like a ghost rider, this is how one can characterize the movement of a burning Russian military transporter MT-LB in the Kharkov region. According to a serviceman with the call sign Grisha, a Ukrainian FPV drone hit the combat vehicle, after which a fire started inside it.
