As much as I enjoy this trailer, its difficult to see Ewan McGregor morphing into Alec Guinness. That must of been some pretty tough years between the events of this series and A New Hope 🙄
The force is strong in this one! To hear *Duel of The Fates* and Ewan Mcgregor comes back as Obi-Wan Kenobi gives me goosebumps. Let alone the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. As a Star Wars fan, I’m lucky to grow up with the Prequel Trilogy.

In the Phantom Menace, Anakin's fate was being decided when the Jedi (Obi Wan, Qui Gon Jin) fought Maul. If Maul had won, he would've taken Anakin to Palpatine. But Obi Wan won. And he took over as Anakin's teacher. In the Obi Wan series, the fate of young Luke Skywalker will be decided by former Jedis and the Sith. That's what DUEL OF THE FATES means. The theme is used when the fate of a key player is at stake.

Ahsoka and Vader can’t interact in the Obi-Wan series. He thought she was dead until season 2 of rebels. They would feel each other’s identity through the force, which is exactly how it happened in rebels

I'm a casual Star Wars fan. Seriously, I've only watched the films, both seasons of the Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. But this trailer actually got me mad pumped. Especially knowing that Obi-Wan and Darth Vader are going to have a rematch. Can I also point out how happy I am for Moses Ingram (the beautiful woman as the badass Inquisitor)? She was great as Anya Taylor-Joy's friend in The Queen's Gambit, and she definitely deserves more recognition.

Obi-Wan looks like Qui-Gon the way he is dressed. I’m glad we can see shots of young Luke, Owen and Beru Lars, parts of Tatooine, and the incredible return of nostalgic music. Potential Watto return? Maybe we can see Owen and Beru forbidding Obi-Wan from training Luke. When the Grand Inquisitor with his spinning lightsaber showed up, I just screamed “INQUISITORS!” I hope they can explain how Obi-Wan managed to stay hidden despite Inquisitors knowing he was there, and how they found out.
Duel of the fates - songs play all those script words back in your mind; "do not understimate my power" "don't try it" "its over anakin" "UNLIMITED POWAR" "order 66" "are you threatening me master jedi" "i have failed you anakin" "anakin, palpatine is evil" "man you bloody lost" "you were like my brother anakin"
It is incredibly important that while the inquisitors are a danger to all the normal people, and they are a danger to Ben remaining hidden, they can not be a challenge for him in a lightsaber fight. If it comes down to a duel between the jedi master and the little inquisitors with their twirly blades he needs to spank them, with prejudice, that will be why they must call in Vader.
Keep in mind though...Obi Wan isn't shown with a lightsaber once throughout this trailer...even when they are shooting at him on the rooftop. He's in hiding so I expect he won't pull out his lightsaber for the vast majority of the series except maybe in flashbacks and the very end. That means the inquisitors will likely be a serious challenge for him if he can't use his lightsaber from an effort to stay hidden. That said, obviously Obi Wan is in no real danger since we already know he survives in fine health until Ep 4.
I am soooo happy we are getting to see live action inquisitors. Grand Inquisitor look absolutely terrifying, and the spinny sabers look even more amazing than they did in Rebels. The music, Battle of the Heroes, Duel of The Fates, AND Anakin's Dark Deeds. Absolutely amazing teaser trailer. I am hoping to see Maul, Kanan Jarrus, and Ezra Bridger. They could tie it in so well All in all this series will be absolutely amazing when it premiers
I love how even something so simple as Obi wan just watching young luke can invoke such emotion. Such a simple scene invoked more emotion than the entire sequel trilogy combined XD
As someone who saw A New Hope in the theater in 1977 as a kid, it's astonishing see people who weren't even alive then, who weren't even alive when Return of the Jedi came out, to maintain such love and enthusiasm for the Star Wars franchise...

When the Grand Inquisitor with his spinning lightsaber showed up, I just screamed “INQUISITORS!” I hope they can explain how Obi-Wan managed to stay hidden despite Inquisitors knowing he was there, and how they found out.

Literally every time it played it gave me goosebumps

It is incredibly important that while the inquisitors are a danger to all the normal people, and they are a danger to Ben remaining hidden, they can not be a challenge for him in a lightsaber fight. If it comes down to a duel between the jedi master and the little inquisitors with their twirly blades he needs to spank them, with prejudice, that will be why they must call in Vader.
Maul obliterated them in Rebels. If Maul can defeat them, so cam Obi Wan.

Keep in mind though...Obi Wan isn't shown with a lightsaber once throughout this trailer...even when they are shooting at him on the rooftop. He's in hiding so I expect he won't pull out his lightsaber for the vast majority of the series except maybe in flashbacks and the very end. That means the inquisitors will likely be a serious challenge for him if he can't use his lightsaber from an effort to stay hidden. That said, obviously Obi Wan is in no real danger since we already know he survives in fine health until Ep 4.
I am soooo happy we are getting to see live action inquisitors. Grand Inquisitor look absolutely terrifying, and the spinny sabers look even more amazing than they did in Rebels.
The music, Battle of the Heroes, Duel of The Fates, AND Anakin's Dark Deeds. Absolutely amazing teaser trailer. I am hoping to see Maul, Kanan Jarrus, and Ezra Bridger. They could tie it in so well
All in all this series will be absolutely amazing when it premiers

I love how even something so simple as Obi wan just watching young luke can invoke such emotion. Such a simple scene invoked more emotion than the entire sequel trilogy combined XD
These are the type of films, you get butterflies in cinema. And cry for its perfection.
As someone who saw A New Hope in the theater in 1977 as a kid, it's astonishing see people who weren't even alive then, who weren't even alive when Return of the Jedi came out, to maintain such love and enthusiasm for the Star Wars franchise...

OMG brother! Oh brother! I certainly cannot wait to see this Kenobi series! Look, the Book of Boba Fett was just okay, Mandolorian was epic and now I have high hopes for Obi Wan series! I'm so looking forward of having them bringing back Liam Neelson "Qui Gon Jinn"! Super excited about Obi Wan Kenobi Series! Star Wars is slowly redeeming themselves after Episode 7, 8 & 9! Wooo Hooo!
