$32,000. for a Classic Ram I don't know where you live but around here we're talking $55,000 plus. And they won't talk about dealing. I'll just keep my 2005 Dodge Dakota until the wheels fall off.
That’s what I said. His prices are way out of touch.
The pricing on trucks is absurd. The interest rates are absurd. The greed from manufacturers and dealers is absurd.
The greed of the UAW is even worse. Or maybe it's the money the government is spending and printing.
That’s one of the main reasons they are not selling. Plus, a lot of them are junk and people are figuring that out.
You left out the 2024 tacoma and tundra. Those things have all kinds of problems with those new small turbo engines.
Too expensive and the lack of a V6 is problematic for the Taco
It's not that nobody wants them, it's nobody can afford them! Truck prices are ridiculous and out of control! Nobody in their right mind would pay 90 - 100 thousand for a new truck! It's insane!
Dodge is trash, they're affordable and people still don't want them. Them being expensive, gives people more of a reason not to buy them 😂😂😂
@@kavonstuart9803 There isn't a new truck that isn't trash.
You got that right! If I buy a new truck today, I will pay till I retire! Way too much money!
@@nathanadrian7797 That's not true. Some truck models are built better than others. Dodge unfortunately is at the bottom, Ford for the last 4 years is doing worse than ever as far as recalls. Chevy/GMC are doing pretty well as far as reliability at the moment. Pricing for what you get is another topic. Don't get me started with Toyota 😂😂😂
@@kavonstuart9803 Bull crap!
As long as people are willing to spend the money the prices won’t go down. Simple fact
Exactly. It's not some pricing mystery that is baffling economists. If people are going to pay dumb prices, why WOULD'NT manufacturers raise prices? They are there to make money, not be our friends.
Let’s be honest and say that even if the starting price on these trucks is in the mid 40K the ones sitting in dealer lots are more loaded trim levels w pricing in the mid 50k to 70k for the 1/2 ton and probably north of 75k for the 3/4 or 1 ton versions. That has a lot to do w slow sales. Stellantis Jeep want to be seen as a premium brand and that business model has failed miserably for them.
Yeah, nobody is paying sub $40k for Rams or F150's. Those are fictional numbers.
In real life, people are commonly paying $70k+ for even moderate trim level F150s, while well equipped Titans in Pro4X trim can be had under $60k.
My dad has a 2013 Ram 2500 long bed (he bought it new) that he uses for hauling and he curiosity called a dealer to see what a new one would cost. They quoted him double what he initially paid for his and it was a lower trim. He decided to just keep his because it still did everything that he needed it to do.
Prices on new vehicles are absolutely ridiculous and companies act surprised when no one buys their cars anymore.
Hudsongtv,The only people who can afford new trucks, are their own employees!😊
2:15 I never heard of the F-150 Super Duty..... must be a new model.
I live in the farmbelt and you can't find a new Toyota truck anywhere close on a dealers lot. Ford F150's can be found if you want a black, white, or grey color. Trucks around here are just as popular and wanted as ever if not more.
Its not that everyone don't want them . The problem is price . At 30k would be more interesting.
If you don’t mind paying over 50k for something that gets 14-15 mpg, well, there’s a ton of them out there
If your buying a truck for good gas milage your don't really need a truck.
@@roddycreswell8613I cant stind this argument..its 2024 you can get good gas in a truck
My work have a small school bus is bad gas mileage is average 6.1 miles per gallon. you want to get better fuel mileage get V6 of V8 miles per gallon on suv pickup truck and van. All need to vote Donald Trump for low fuel prices for good since Covid-19’s.
Where is 32k price coming from? I'm seeing almost 36.7k msrp for a RWD ram. Slap 4WD and its up to 40.5k
Dealers charging $50k+ for a Taco that should cost less than $40k OTD ain’t going to move trucks off the lot!
Up here in Canada, truck prices,
are through the roof! A new GMC
Sierra ‘Denali’ 1500, is near one
hundred thousand dollars!! No
wonder sales are down!
The Frontiers sales are up actualy as people flee from the expensive garbage heap called Toyota
I recently test drove the Frontier with my two boys who are about to get licenses. There's a lot to like about them.
Toyota needs to bring back the V8 and the four cylinder with no turbo. These new engines are killing their reliability. I have to switch to a new truck brand now.
Price, price, price.....60 to 90k for a pickup , it is no wonder the sales are slow.
I am surrounded by pickups all day every day around here.
You are surrounded by people, in debt up to their eyeball!! Pretending to have money.
@@a.c.m.e.ink.4568 Bub just because you make less than $20k a year, doesn't necessarily mean a $80k truck is "debt up to their eyeballs". Maybe for you sure. I bet I'm younger than you and making more dough than you. Tighten up my guy. Do better.
Not many people are looking for a full size truck with a small motor.
I'm not looking for overly expensive, fragile, computer nonsense all over the dash
Still love my 2015 Tundra! Currently has 117k miles and still runs great. Put a cold air intake and dual exhaust and get 18/19 mpg. Got to have my V8. And best of all it’s paid off 4 years ago…
Don’t buy any of them until they bring the prices down $20,000 !
That should be the starting price. For a full size truck. & stop at $30,000!
I like every truck that's in this video the problem I and most Americans can't afford them anymore the pricing is ridiculous
I guess they finally ran out of idiots willing to spend 50k+ on a truck.. Visiting Lake Havasu, and every brodad down here's got one.
They are all too expensive and some don't offer V8s and V6s anymore
Yep, instead of a kickass v8 engine they want to sell you computer crap all over the dash.
I priced out a new F-150 XL base model with no options....... $48K! I am a Ford guy but I will have to say right truck wrong price.
I haven't seen a sub $50,000 F-250 in over 3 years
Sales for 2023 Toyota Tacomas have slowed because they're not making them anymore!!! SMH
I still love my 2017 Silverado.. Cost me 40 grand with a lot of extras.
All trucks are wanted at the right price point
It seem the vehicle manufacturers' economists have misjudged the supply and demand curves for trucks. They try tomaximize the total sales value and usually profits by maximizing the area under the intersection of supply and demand curves. The demand curve is much lower than they expected. They must have though truck buyers would pay more to get bigger info screens and multi-position, hydraulically-assisted tail gates. All you really need are some gauges and a tailgate that keeps crap from flying out of the bed. The urbanites, who were buying big trucks, have figured out they are not the best vehicle for doing errands around town. A crew cab works in the woods hauling four loggers and chain saws but not in town hauling two kids and a couple of bags of groceries. They should get out the tools they used to build 2004 Tacomas and Rangers if they want to sell more trucks. (Apparently, Toyota is doing that, and Ford sort of did it with the Maverick, except for the unibody.)
i pay 25.000 for 2021 ram 5.7 express 56000 miles so far no problems happy with my truck
ANYTHING that Stellantis makes. Anything.
Too much money for mid-size
I don't know about this take. It's like saying everyone WANTS kia/hyundai tin cans when that's not the case. That's what folks can afford. I looked at the big three (Ram, Ford, and Chevy) and decided where I want my money to go - especially if I'm going to be making that monthly payment. In addition - since these are sitting on the lot you can probably get a really good deal (i got over 10% off MSRP)!
Price price price that’s why sales are down
It's not that people don't want them. It's that people are not willing to 'add' another mortgage every 2-3 years. Seriously, where do these manufactures think people work? For the King ♚ of England?
The biggest issue is reliability with these trucks. The used car lots are full of all these models. You want see who makes the crappiest vehicles, just look at the used car lots. People don't get rid of good vehicles
How old is this video ? Those retail prices you quoted aren’t even close to what these thieves are asking !!!
You think they are expensive in the USA, come to Canada if you really want to get ripped off, those trucks listed here are 30k more in Canuckistan, will never buy a new truck ever again.
Over the past 25 years General Motors has Failed in the Automatic Transmission Platform !!! I highly recommend Anybody buying a Car or a Truck ? To Chose a Manual 4 speed or 4 speed with Overdrive Manual Transmission !!!
Retire 21 years General Motors repairman !!!
Maybe prices are up to subsidize the EV trucks they can't sell.
Does the meşrep price include all the extras on the morphine?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful trucks I love 💘 it specialy old trucks because made from iron not blastic like new trucks
Nissan is doing the Frontier dirty. Titan and now the Frontier. Renault ain’t the answer for this company 👎🏽
This video is not so great. Your MSRP’s are way out of touch. The prices are a lot higher. And people aren’t buying the trucks because they are overpriced, and not built with quality. Transmission’s failing at 90k. Headers cracking right off the lot. Turbo troubles. Transmission’s slipping. Parts not available to fix the problems that arise. It has nothing to do with an out of date style. Maybe the manufacturers could sell their mediocre trucks at a reasonable price, then we could afford to replace the parts that are gonna break. Provided that we can find them.
Lower the price, or we will keep driving our old trucks.
Tacoma and tundra
😮😮
Why aren't you comparing like for like? RAM 2500 compete with F250 not F350. RAM 3500 compete with F350, not F150XL. Stick to a common period, stop comparing annual to monthly sales. And why suddenly throw in used F150 lightning sales when everything else was new? The normalized figures are easier to compare, and they don't change the fact that Stelantis isn't appealing to potential customers.
No thanks. I'll be keeping my 2021 F-150 until the wheels fall off.
81% of trucks never haul anything. Don't buy one unless you actually NEED one.
Nope. If you want a particular vehicle and can afford it, buy and drive whatever you want. Free country, for now anyway.
I always noticed it's people with really bad credit, got no cash flow, can't get in on the fun without any effort bub. Do better
@@David-nx2vm yeah then people complain about bad roads and high fuel prices.
@xiondFirst If the country was run appropriately inflation/interest wouldn't make your truck triple in price & your government could easily afford to fix your roads while keeping your fuel bills and taxes much lower...
I have a truck instead of driving 2 different vehicles. My truck takes me to work, around town, hauls materials, tows my boat & trailers around. Sorry it offends you being unloaded most of the time.
Just get us a small truck that get 40mpg
Other than the Maverick what else is there?
EPA won't let you have a small truck capable of anything
Heated seats moon heated steering wheel do we really need that in a truck give us a basic truck
Someone somewhere will always buy an unwanted truck. A fool and his money...
Toyota trucks have went backwards.
Pretty simple, way to expensive, the ram looks way better than the Ford
The only truck people want is the Maverick and that's cropping up in price now too
Blah total junk
I'd Take the Ram over a Ford any day of the week and twice on Sunday
I love Chinese trucks ❤
It's a sign.... 📉🤡
Amid record wealth transfer and inequality and no sense of things improving, the least of what everyone wants and exoects is a sensibly sized and priced Ford Maverick PHEV or any Toyota hybrid pick up that executives and self-interested, short-sighted investors don't want to provide....
Anyone who is broadly aware of today's economy and over-inflated auto market and geopolitical markets can compare today to what helped to bring about 2008 would be none too surprised that another economic crash is coming.
So too would be a third wave of Asian competitive dominance from Chinese EVs, the previous waves being the Koreans and Japanese. This is what delaying and denying R&D for short term record profits gets you, time and again.
