Special Constables Custody Training

Ealing Special Constables Continued Training Program
PC Argyle and S/Sgt Brinklow have been working hard to provide a continued training program for Ealing's Special Constables who dedicate their free time to keep the community of Ealing safe.
On Saturday 9th and Sunday 17th April PC Argyle and S/Sgt. Brinklow arranged for the Special Constables to work with regular constables to improve and refresh their skills and knowledge around booking prisoners into custody.
Specials from Ealing and surrounding boroughs attended to ensure they maintained their knowledge around procedures, safety and human rights when booking in a prisoner to custody.
Metropolitan Police Special Constables (MSC) devote their spare time to policing the streets and keeping the public safe. They have exactly the same powers as a regular police officer. Most of the specials have day jobs inside and outside of the Met, and need to update their skills on a regular basis as they do not practice these every day.
