Yes I found the same. Clicking the firmware update for the pup file, there was no reaction and file wouldn't download from Sony. So I right clicked download button, saved link to my downloads folder and then put that in my rpcs3 folder ready to install through the interface of the emulator. I also found out (why) that rpcs3 wouldn't let me install the firmware or update rpcs3 because it was blocked by my antivirus. Even making an exception in my AV for rpcs3 made no difference. So therefore I had to switch off my AV until firmware was installed and any update applied. Hope this helps someone out...

I've gone all emulation now i used to have a massive console and games collection for years but found i never played half of it i just liked the idea of just owning that system and game, i sold the lot last year and built a decent gaming pc and now i run all the sytems i used to own from there now, one biggest pro over original hardware is having all your sytems and games in one place no need to bother getting stuff off the shelf and connecting up wire city or finding a Crt that works also the ability to run at higher resolution, using shaders and the ability to run games better, i use retroarch to emulate most of my consoles which works like a charm but also have a few outside emus like Switch, PS2 and now the last console i wanted emulated ps3, its a cracking emulator, i hope they do some work on proper emulating the xbm

If anyone is having problems with the PS3 system software not downloading when you click it, I think I found a way to fix it. Get the download manager called 'free download manager' after that is installed right click on the download button and press 'download with free download manager'
Couple of things before running PS3 emulator: 1. Running PS3 games on PC requires a powerful PC with at least 8+ cores with hyperthreading. Mid-spec CPUs with 6 cores only managed to run non-CPU intensive games with minimum 30FPS. In fact, running PS3 games on PC actually costs way more than running on actual console. 2. Not all PS3 games can run smoothly so check the compatibility page. 3. If you have mid-spec PC but struggling to run, try at least overclock the CPU and do not enable undervolting. Then, try to set resolution to 480p. 4. Vulkan dll file not found? Try to use GPU-Z and check whether your GPU card have Vulkan API feature enabled. 5. RPCS3 also works well with HFW 4.88.
When I attempt to open rpcs3.exe it come up with an error "The code execution cannot proceed because vulkan-1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Does anyone know what this is referring to? My installed files look the same as his in the video, nothing seems to be missing.
Where and how do you get the games, do you download them from RPCS or do you have to have a disc reader? Trying to play Sly Cooper Collection and I have no clue where to go

this might sound weird but I had to open the ps3 software update in a incognito tab for it to download just in case somebody was having trouble

Incognito mode didn't do it for me so I went on internet explorer and it worked

It's fun to play as we all wish ps5 had backwards compatibility, only thing some games have more bugs then others

What i did was go into the folder where RPCS3 is and right clicked on it, then hit run as administrator to bypass the error message. hope this works!!

Your GPU card did not have vulkan capability. Check your GPU card with GPU-Z.
