This kind of stuff is perfect. I'm not really interested in random meme builds, it needs to have been relevant to some extend and what you linked is exactly right.
Came here specifically to mention jungle nature's prophet, who would sit on a ward spot and hit ancients for 15 minutes to turbo out midas and aghs, then proceed to leech the entire maps gold and die to the enemy team as they tried to rat.
2016 was when I think it was a thing? Cannot for the life of me remember who did the video though. Saw it a ton in pubs at the time

@@Baumi theres also the one where talents was still new and lion had a +60 (i think) damage buff at level 10 so people played right click lion getting mask of madness as first item
The most recent weird build I can think of that people started spamming in ranked was when Topson built 3/4 wraith bands on Sniper and a straight moonshard
that used to be the play 5 wraithbrand boot > moonshard > divine rapier lol
you can do it better on lone druid IMO. you can build 5 wraith bands on the main druid and just build bear. its nuts especially after they double
I do this all the time with Drow and Morphling back then... It works back then. 4 Wraith Bands into Treads and a magic wand then replace 1 wraith band if I build good items
I don't know if its still viable today, haven't played in more than 2 years

I remember leshrac going in trees behind enemy T1, and using W from minute 0. He would kill tower in 3 mins.
I still do that sometimes as fun to bot T1 radiant when I'm playing from dire side.
Just need a quelling blade to cut a few trees to get in position.

There was a combo where you could stack neutrals on cliffs with dark seer vacuum and use either ET spirit for insane damage (to one shot enemies) or axe q for insane movement speed.
The ET one was relevant for a little while in pubs, especially with the level 20 cleave talent allowing ET to hit in an aoe for 1k+ per attack.
The build I think was phase boots into echo into aghs then just crits/deso/mkb depending what was better for the game.

The first build that comes to mind is the no-bear Lone Druid build that was popular when 7.00 came out because the talents for the hero were just insane
Silencer would be amazingly fun, you get the intelligence steal as well as the temporary stacks turning permanent no? So you would remove everyone's entire intelligence.
I remember there was a small period of time where people would go darkseer and vacuum like 10 creep camps onto a ward spot to farm haha

The first and best was the dendi fountain hook and one of my favorites was the terror blade shadow blade Dagon , and the Chen with the helm that u blocked the creep wave for the entire start for an amazing push
This is similar to the Necro jungle thing, and I commented about this on a different video of someone else's, but I remember back in the old days when there was an ancient camp right next to a large camp and between them was a ward cliff. Back then, nature's prophet would literally just tp to that cliff and just sit there infinitely farming for 20 minutes indefinitely increasing his net worth. And because of the way stacking worked for some reason the camps still sometimes stacked which meant more money. And after 20 minutes he'd have a mjollnir, a Daedalus, a deso, and just 1 v 5 and end the game. I remember this used to absolutely terrorize people in pubs. I would run it and by the time enemies figured out what was going on I already had enough items that I could just jungle normally or just start running down lanes. The only way to beat it was with a displacing ability and even then there were other cliffs he could sit in so you just could not shut it down. My goto weird build is dagon weaver. I just rush dagon and use the shukuchi>germinate attack>swarm>shukuchi>dagon to burst down squishy carries/supports at level 6.
I don't know if it was a video or what. But there was a time before Radiance Octarine core on Alchemist was standard and that build revolutionized the hero compeltely.

i'm only at minute 4, but i would think necrophos is gonna be OP in this mod, cuz all his temporary heartstopper-regen-buffs are gonna be permanent. Also OD will permanently steal mana, Underlord will have permanent bonus dmg, and slark/silencer (and obviously undying) will have permanent stat-steal.... or what about a gyro/clockwerk with permanent rocket barrage/battery assault? This mode sounds really fun ^^
EDIT: What about razor's dmg-steal???? Do enemies lose their dmg until they die??
idk what patch it was but there was a time when magnus cleave became an aeo buff and affected drow so drow would be shooting 3 arrows with aghs that all had cleave and could one shot a team

Treant with fast midas into aghs with bloodstone was a thing. He used to farm whole map with 1 button
I know I am late but maybe these didn't pop up:
The strat of hooking the ranged creep at the beginning of the match with pudge and blocking it in the trees of your own base, basically denying the ranged creep altogether.
Also there was a strat of throwing a creep into the trees with tiny near the enemy base to disable backdoor protection permanently.
I think those two started with Arkosh and Dotown, but it's possible that they just copied the strategies from a previous video
I think it counts, remember the old sniper aghs? that made his ult and AoE that did a crit? prople would get aghs and rapiers but I don't remember seeing a yt video showcasing it. Also, there is currently a magic control sniper build, Wagamama used to play it, aghs, gleipnir, shard and all the shrapnell talents.
And I don't know if it counts, but all the lvl 1 roshan strats, Mostly the ursa+ io had a decent impact.
ALso, I remember Waga also played a medusa with the new bloodstone using radiance + mjollnir to get mana and tank up
Don't know if this have an impact on the community and more of meme build but I saw a few arc wardens some time ago farming until they have some item,go back to fountain,use their ult to sell the items and just snowball.Don't play dota anymore though so idk if it can still be done.

i wonder if lion was creating infinite duration of stacks from finger ON THE ENEMY, after all, finger gives a short debuff where if the target dies after getting hit by finger lion gets the buff, i wonder if that small little debuff timer is infinite so he could just throw a finger whenever he saw someone and once they die he gets the damage

Veil of Discord Bloodseeker and Manta Style Axe. 2 seemingly troll builds that saw some play in competitive and then became the norm for those heroes for a while.

What about AM diffusal blade, that was a classic build for Archon player. And now it is actually works on AM because of the new patch let the mana burn stacking with AM mana burn. Also don't forget with blink on AM and echo sabre.
