Wow that's amazing superb scene. You have created a great view. So real looking. I have never been able to create anything like that. Well done. Best wishes Richard Canterbury
Hey Richard, thank you for the comment. Honestly, just try you may surprise yourself. You never know what you can do until you try. Glad that you enjoyed and more to come next week with a new arrival.
Hi Tony, OK talking through my hat I should have watched this first and yes you are a bit along the road for new ways to do things but must say what a super layout you have built and yes far more skill than me you have so I was right but well done on this so far will watch to see progress in future. Cheers Robert.
Hey Robert, that is very kind of you to say. Honestly I don't feel very skilled as I fumble my way along. I seem to remember all those years ago being far more skilled but maybe that is just time and age doing that, not to mention shaky hands and worse eyesight. I learnt modelling by reading what Allan Downes a most superb modeller did way back in the 1970's. No TH-cam in them days so had to read magazine articles and look at pictures and figure the rest out. Ah happy days.
Hey Jeremy, thank you I am still working to blend the background and foreground in seamlessly or as seamlessly as I can. So way to go yet but having fun.
Thats what its all about Tony, having fun! You certainly do have an eye for detail on the scenics and I will be trying to emulate your work on my next part of the hill at castle halt. Regards Steve
Hey Steve, thank you again for your wonderful comment. You are well on the way with your castle it is already looking amazing especially with the lighting. After seeing your video it made me realise that I must think about lighting before I build the station area.
Love the scenic back ground / back scene. I tried to do something similar on my layout, but soon realised I had no talent for such things, so just painted mine blue! Nice job! Cheers, Andy
@ChobertonJunction it's really paying off. The scene is really coming to life. Did you catch my grandson's latest offering yesterday, Dylington Rocks, with loud rock music, flashing lights, and a few trains running 🙂👍
Hey @garycmguire8529, thank you. All experiments which I am happy to say went quite well. I do the best with what I have and so far I am very happy with the results.

The background is fantastic and fits perfectly with the equally good scenic elements around the tunnel mouth.

Absolutely incredible, I really like the back scene.
Hey Deano, thank you. Was a surprise really that it came out so well just slapping the paint on like I did.
Nice work Tony. I like the outcome of the background. Just shows what you can do when you have a go. Tim
Hey Tim, thanks 👍 I just thought have a go why not can always paint over it if a complete disaster. So, imagine my surprise when it turned out ok.
Great work there Tony, the scenery s coming along.
Hey Dave, thank you. Really having fun now that I have returned to the hobby. Wonder why it took me so long. lol

Love the scene, well done.
Hey malminstral, thank you.
outstanding video. the scenery is amazing!
Hey John, thank you. It was a real labour of love and I have enjoyed every minute even the disasters.
Love the scenic back ground / back scene. I tried to do something similar on my layout, but soon realised I had no talent for such things, so just painted mine blue! Nice job! Cheers, Andy
Hey Andy, thank you. I just gave it a go and the results when put behind some tree scenery will do. Just popping onto you channel now for a look.
Blends very well
Hey Clive, thank you. When I put a dry stone wall across the front and maybe one more tree that should blend it completely then.
That scenery you've created is really looking good. You've worked in some really nice tones into the landscape. Nice work... Cheers James 🙂👍
Hey James, thank you. I always try to get as much texture and layers into the landscape. Think I am up to just over 10 layers at the moment.

@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY no did not catch your grandsons latest offering. I will look for it now.
@@ChobertonJunction I hope you enjoy it 😁👍
@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY I sure did.
I think your layout is vey good, you have made mountains out of mole hills. Your landscape clouds and mountains look great.

Backdrop, looks super
Hey @BPSDMRR, thank you and congrats again on the 9K amazing.
Awesome layout, I enjoyed the video 👍🏻
Hey @OldcampRanch, thank you glad that you enjoyed this.
If the water stays cracked you can always paint it to look rough
Hey @raymondleggs5508, that is a great idea. Dried now and the cracks are still just visible but they sort of look like water moving (I hope)
Good video thanks lee
Hey Lee, thank you as always appreciate you popping in.
Looks good Tony from a non railway enthusiast I'd say.
Hey Atholl, thank you for popping in and the comment. Much appreciated.
