- Just before 3am we head into town to see what we can find in Pattaya to feed a late night hunger. The last time I did this, we looked at the South Pattaya Area. This time we will be in Central and North Pattaya, but we finally fill our bag and get a deal on the beach.

Nyc sucks now. It's almost impossible to find d a meal after 10pm since covid. I'm partially retiring in 2 years and living in nyc 6 month a year and pattaya the other 6 months

I use to scuba dive in the gulf of Mexico in the 80s. The grouper we would spearfish were around 200 lbs.

Great vlog, Loucous - fish looks very similar to what is known in Australia as a 'fingermark' (minus the distinctive mark ) found in northern, tropical waters and great eating. Have noticed Lan has a good eye for choosing fish. You can tell her that from someone who loves fishing and knows 'fresh fish'.

Yes! I love that noodle place and have been there late night maybe 5 or 6 times. It was a bright light after a nice beach walk late at night (or early morning as the clock tells). Good tiip for getting fresh off the boat seafood! I used to do this in US on Maine Avenue in Washington DC when I lived there for a number of years. Nothing better and always a good value. Nice of you and Lan to make this journey for us Lucas! Thank you!

I would go down there at least once every few weeks along with a neighbor of mine and we would load up on oysters and fish and whatever was the fish of the season and go back home and have a feast with whoever showed up with beers and scotch and side fixings. Very very fond memory. I think I could put something like that together in Jomtien.😋😋
Fleet St in London in the 70s delivering news papers all over UK would return with fresh fish 6am with bar in the canteen .

The beauty of Pattaya is that one can go out at 3am with a stirring in his loins and sate that appetite. The food options are almost as broad.

In March this year, a couple of girls took me to a Thai BBQ at 3am.
I didn't believe it would be open but went along with it & to my surprise/shock, was not just open but had a heap of customers. Mostly groups of women at different tables & a few tables joined together with a heap of Lb's. Was only 5, maybe a 10 mins from Treetown but have no idea where it was - certainly somewhere I am not familiar with.

The best is things are ever so Fresh. Plus it would be cooler than mid day temperature. Maybe you could show the making of some of the dishes. We can eat and enjoy the tastes with you. 🤪

I can't stay up that late and wouldn't be able to eat anything anyway. But it was interesting to see so many people on the beach at that hour. I'm a seafood lover so I understand the delight in buying fresh fish directly from the people who caught them. Next time Lan prepares your feast take a picture and show us how she prepares fish. Am I right to presume that it is pretty safe on that "walking street" even late at night ? Which bike did you have ?
Pattaya is a lot safer than most of our home cities

Great to see you out about Pattaya never sleeps amazing place. Quick question Lucas when is the best time to come to Bangkok and Pattaya for not to hot and not to wet weather I been 6 times but bring my Wife for the first time and see come from Vietnam hope you don't mind me asking the question
I always say the best time is May, June and July. This is the heart of low season, so you will find better prices on hotels, less crowds, less traffic and the weather shouldn't be too wet yet as the wettest months are September and October. Many days will be cloudy limiting how hot it gets, but there will be heat on those clear days and rain other days so not perfect but all in all, that is the best time to come.
It looks like a Pattaya version of Edward Hopper"s "NightHawks".(make a great tea shirt or print )

- I suspect that most of this channel's audience aren't familiar with the street names, etc.
-- For me, similarly, even after visiting Pattaya several times, I had little clue about some place names and street names.

So when I arrived to Jomtien, there is a baht bus in the first scene. That was a little after 4am.
Well the one thing this video taught me was that 3 AM is the best time to be in bed sleeping. No excitement whatsoever.

cheaper than in the UK, Alibaba which is one of the best in Pattaya is still cheaper then what I would pay in the UK for a sit down meal at an Indian restaurant
Always something going on there! When I was young, my mom always told me there was nothing good going on in the middle of the night, lol. Looks like there is good food at least:) Love her to death, but I always say she'd be a lot more fun if she drank and gambled:)
The seafood must be amazing. It was one of my favorite things about about Oregon and Washington when I lived there....much better seafood than here in Indiana!

No, never did, the Thai translation means pig fish.
definitely not a cichlid as those are fresh water fish. This is surely a "snapper", delicious in any soup or simply Chinese steamed.
