Great day of fun with small boats. Nothing more convenient
My old red exceed sword is pretty much a 23'' version of the mini dom...its a rocket ,leapard 2845 2960kv ,60amp seaking ,37 mm carbon with 3 or 4s 3000 mah ... stinger has no adjustment and was shimmed down at factory a tad using 2 washers.. battery all the way back and has no issues...to me it handles great.. will leap out of water...my favorite boat...
Right, there have not been any new boat designs or ground breaking tech for years. It's all about copying existing designs and doing different configurations. Oxidean is just copying the leaders (Tenshock) and charging 2X's more for profit
STARTING THE REBIULD VIDEO FOR YOU TODAY, SHOULD BE UNEXPECTIVELY COOL.
Can't wait
I ain't afraid of no ghost......
Hey Big b...i was trying to see how the the drive angle was on the mini dom ...impossible because you moved it to much... can you tell me if it has a slight down angle or neutral etc... like i said my red sword is 90% the same hull design just bigger...thanks
It's got a slight down angle maybe 1 or 2 degrees
How long did it take to get your Mini Dom delivered? 🤔
3 days
@@IRONCLADRC Damn, that's fast. Thanks man
Ironclad gen one says he is faster than you is that true I would like to see you guys
He probably is, lol.
i broke the flood chamber 2nd time out on the min dom
I reinforced mine, basically the second upgrade I did on mine battery is so close the the chamber I didn't feel comfortable running it unsupported
Hey big b how can i make the decking skin for a hydroplane build
Depending on the size of your boat, size depends on the skin material I suppose.
Small boat could get a simple1/16 balsa skin, from a local hobby shop or 1/32" thin birch.
Larger boats may need bass wood. Hobby shops only stock 6"x36" sheets, I saw m5 performance hydroplane "scott" using a company called balsausa.com for larger sheets of balsa or bass wood. Hope this helps
@@IRONCLADRC thx but i already got the right wood but i dont know how to make it the right size and that it fits nicely.
Use a peace of cardboard , cut to a round about size, then sand the card board to shape transfer the cardboard "skin" on to the wood.. cut the wood to size then sand to shape as close to the final size as possible. Epoxy into place. Use tape and clamps
Thin cardboard is preferred or poster board
How can you run without a prop nut? Sorry I’m a noob.
many smaller boats have props that thread on ..since props spin ccw they pretty much stay tight...
Roadster is correct m4 threaded props
