Apologies for how raspy my voice sounds in the narration. I've had this long term sinus thing dogging me since somewhere around Kansas and it's played havoc with my throat. And I'm currently trying to get these done before we leave for Indonesia in a week
That looked like a great day of diving. It makes me wish I had had more time there. Also, didn't knock the cruise ships. cruising is fun. It ends up being a fairly inexpensive way to see a lot of different places.
Thanks! We upgraded to the latest GoPro 13 + a wide angle lens. I also switched to 4K 60FPS which has been a pain to manage but does seem to have been a huge improvement. Granted it also helps that more of the footage on this trip has been shallower vs Socorro
I have to say, Matt, that the new camera is working quite well and capturing really good video. Glad that you enjoyed the Salt Pier dive. Its one of my favorite dive sites on Bonaire. Sorry that the jellyfish fleet was in town. They have a particularly nasty species there that you really don’t want to tangle with.
Thanks. I was a lot happier with the output this time. Which is good considering how much we put into upgrades this time around. Though I think it was helped by the relatively shallow sunny dives. Socorro was all down at 90 ish feet where it seems like you're always going to have lighting issues unless you're just shooting fish guide type shots up close. At least with the jellyfish we were able to night dive after a few days
You are getting some great shots with the GoPro, and I enjoy seeing the fish and coral. I loved the shot at the end of the two of you-it's a good Christmas card shot. Thanks for sharing, I'm sure having to handle the camera so much gets old.
I generally like having the camera despite the distractions it cause. Though with the wide angle lens it is quite a bit heavier. I guess I need to look at some buoyancy floats for my camera tray
Omg I'm trying the dub AI (Spanish) it's so funny and impressive. It translates very well, unfortunately it doesn't catch your raspy voice and i miss jenn giggles lol. Been following you since your ADT start. Happy dives!
I actually asked that during my open water training. The hand gestures we learn are all simplified and focused on just what we need to communicate (big ass shark behind you etc) Probably less work just to learn to dive with a full face mask and get a radio though...

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful dives with us - and for naming the fish. Love it !
Looks like an enjoyable day. I got to hear taters giggle. So great video for me!
Water clarity is amazing and the colors wow
Beautiful one ! Very nice shot of the pufferfish and Jen in the background (6.40) . Thanks for all the video work . Have a nice trip to Indonesia !
Awesome video!! Thank you!!!!
Watching all these fish make me happy 😁
Thanks for sharing your adventures.loving the dive movies. I aways have loved dive videos since Jacques Cousteau.
Great to see you two enjoying the trip!
Done some snorkeling over on an adjacent island.
But have never scuba dived. Videos show how much I missed
Great stuff Matt and Jen!

That is true and it's also great for folks with limited mobility.

I just got a new computer with a bigger screen and I thought it was just that but others have commented on it - these videos look great! Have fun!

You talk about flying and then there were some shots of schools of fish above you and I swear it looked like a flock of birds in the sky. Nice videos!

Were those organ pipe Seguaro? I thought they were only at Oregon pipe national monument in Arizona, but they sure looked like them.
Googled it, and that’s the only place in the us that has them. Haha
Where did you see they are saguaros? Other than what looks like an incorrect google AI response I've only found things talking about other species
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes at that overlook you guys stopped at. I didnt look too close though, I could be wrong though.
Very Pretty

I was playing with those too. Torn between thinking that's a really cool trick and just being amused at the male and female voices covering us

I wonder if many divers learn American Sign Language.

I wonder if anybody gets flipped off underwater.
