    I'm always amazed of how you get those crisp 3d printed models without support damage... I always get bumps and wholes where supports where...

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try my support settings. Won’t say it will make a huge difference but it might help. I’ll do a prep video soon!!

      @@Groundeffected believe me, I did 🤣 but it’s like if I don’t put heavy supports, figures de attach from them. I’m going to try NFEP to see if that’s the issue…

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@azhorel I use only mediums. Even for big models. I suspect you may not be using enough supports then?

    • @azhorel
      @azhorel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Groundeffected I’ve seen several supporting tutorials, doesn’t seem a lack of support… but the sound my printer makes when lifting seems like the peeling forces are too strong (reduced lift speed). Last resort is this NFEP because I think exposure times are right according to print test STLs I’ve printed…

      What layer heights do you do? I can't see any lines in this model!

    Trident Studios have a nice collection of Marvel Crisis miniatures. Ant-Man and Magneto are my favourites

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they do make some dope ones too. My favorite from them is the doc ock!

    Little model, big results. Awesome! I see some citadel contrast in there, have you had a chance to try the army painter fast paints? I'm toying with the idea of picking a set up.

      I have not had a chance to try them. And I’m afraid to ask for more things after I asked for the air set. So hopefully we can grow the channel big enough to where they will send it to try rather than me having to ask all the time. I feel like a beggar lol. It looks interesting though.

    any reason you use the Liquitex ink vs a reg air brushable primer? Also, any choice between white and grey?

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a primer before that it was Vallejo black primer and the liquitex ink was for the zenithal highlight and because it’s a bit more transparent than normal paint so it makes a smoother zenithal

    • @willienelsoncash
      @willienelsoncash 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Groundeffected so the ink lays down more transparent compared to paint, correct?
      If so, thank you! That make sense.

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@willienelsoncash yes. It will become more saturated the more layers you add. I do add a tiny bit of water to make it flow better too as white is horrible. And it’s not as smooth with normal acrylic as it is with ink.
