Man, thank you very much! You saved my Panasonic Home Theater System. Plus your recommendations, I re made the terminais from the systems. They're simple, just some wire ends. I just remade the finishing and removed all the cables, and plugged them in again. And it's done! :D Thanks a lot!

Don't forget to check your input channel! The issue for me was one speaker wouldn't play, even after reversing L and R and swapping out speaker wires. Then I tried a different input and the one speaker now plays. Must be the aux cable...
The front left channel on my Yamaha 5.1 home theater reciever is kinda problematic. It works, but it’s quieter than the rest of the channels when I first turn it on. If I either turn the volume way up or tap on the cone, it comes back to the right volume without fail what might this be? My previous reciever (early 2000s Onkyo) had this issue with both rear channels intermittently, except it was completely silent and wouldn’t activate when you turned it up. You had to bang on the cone really hard, shut it off, then turn it back on, and repeat until you got sound eventually. It usually worked after either the first time, or one power cycle. One day, the rears on that reciever stopped working all together. The speakers still worked perfectly on another reciever though. What might be causing these problems? I’ve heard about it being a failing speaker relay inside the reciever, but I want to confirm.
I have a GE model 3-682a GE boombox. Right channel dead, but both speakers work on only the left channel. Have no clue, i sees some 470uf caps in there might need to be changed, some 4.7uf caps, wich i ran out of.. one by the power on the back of the board, it works for now, til i get the right replacement parts,, repaced a 25 volt 10uf with a 16 volt 10 uf. Pretty sure i will need to replace it in a few more years but now i have sound, just one dead channel..
What does it mean if when you switch the speaker channels, one is still silent but now the other is playing but much quieter? I switched out the speakers to another set up and they played just fine
Baby steps. Anything that is a cable or speaker is an easy fix. Actual processor/preamp or amplifier issues will need to be serviced by a qualified technician.
I have a ten yo stereo system setup with xda1 and xpa2 as preamp and amp. My issue is not dead channel but weak. Right side output to speaker is really really weak and through swapping L and R, I think it's the amp. Is it possible that a channel has 'weakened' rather than completely dead? Thanks!

I would add to check the XLR/RCA switch on the back of the amp is correctly selected. That would also cause issues.
Absolutely if you have an amplifier that gives you both XLR and RCA connectors.

I have same problem. Then when i push hard on the volume knobs. It gets sound again. A little spray of Fender Funk Out . Fixed it for a few years
