I love that, "Regardless of the sounds last night, the shotgun is coming."
lads really said [fuck no pistols im jesus christ]
I loved that too.
It's like a cross between _The Thing, The Terror_ and _The Shining._
Maybe rename to _The Shining Terror Thing_
Goddammit! Scary Interesting sent me here and now I'm hooked and anxious...
Same! This is my second listen through the series already, it gets so much better than this!
Hello as well from Scary Interesting! This was a great recommendation- I’ve never heard it before
@@hannahlanai nice Tomie pfp!
ah, thank youuu!!@@toribug1899
Also got the recommendation from Scary Interesting. And am also freaked out by the episodes so far 😄
I shouldn't be listing to this at night
Me neither, but here’s my dumbass at 1 in the morning commenting while I listen lol
8 episodes in, really intrigued by it! Also, one of the few podcasts set in a wintery setting that actually make me feel cold, so well done!
Great to hear and glad you are enjoying the show so far!
Kinda funny how its actually cold where I am right now
As an alpine mountaineering enthusiast I couldn't agree more!! Amazing.
Scary Interesting plugged this as a sponsor this, and dude was SO right to. It's incredible work, my imagination is in love. As a fan of The X Files & The Terror, this is my kind of podcast. I just melt into the story. The voice cast, writing, sound effects, and narration are perfect. Thanks to the amazing team behind this for your hard work, it is truly respected and loved by me.
Thank you so much for these super kind and encouraging words! We're so glad you swung by after hearing about us!
that one dude kinda sounds like solid snake from metal gear
Great Value solid snake, honestly.
Honestly just said that to myself. I also keep thinking of an older version when he dies in the game the guy who yells Snake snake snaaake!
oh that jump scare GOT ME and the thump thump
I can't tell if I think there's a traitor in the group or possibly on the outside, since nobody has answered the radio yet. Or maybe that's the storm.
Scary interesting recommended this, the best podcast horror story series I’ve ever heard
Thank you! That's super nice to hear!
Walter has never heard of the Catholic relics where lots of bits are cut off put in little boxes and spread around the country
Title translation: "Struggle to explain"
@ArousedAragorn
Thank you!
I thought it meant "need to explain"
Thank tou
It means”explanation need” or “explanation emergency” at best translation, or basically like a situation where you’re caught off guard and off balance and struggling to explain yourself.
the building strangeness and tension is exciting! the possibilities being teased here make me nauseous and I love it.
Same, I absolutely love it.
I'm intrigued. Let's keep on... This is a quietly enjoyable experience like Mabel or we're alive podcasts love it
Not the door ;-; i had to pause for a moment. Also, it feels so cozy in the common room with all of them sleeping there and the cold outside. Such a good podcast, can't believe there's so few people listening to this
WHY DID THE THUMP THUMP SOUND LIKE A HEARTBEAT???? (Listening to this at 1 in the morning on a school day is such a bad decision. Onwards!)
What were those fucking heart beats?!?!!?
Either Karina will fulfill the final girl trope (and go so insane as to come full circle), or will be the first to bite it.
And was that a heartbeat at the end? Oh no...
To be fair, it *could* be a bear with polydactyly?? 👀
I've seen 'em! But let's be real. It's gonna be spooks.
HorrorBabble sent me here, and this has been an amazing ride so far. Great acting, great writing.
Thank you so much!
Yeah. No. Sure. I didn't want to sleep anyways.
First listen through..... sounds like the scraping could have been someone slowing forging the claw marks.... I think there's a traitor at the moment rather than a monster.
This almost made me scream at work
it gets worse and worse. i can’t stop listening 😭😭😭
these people fucking love coffee
That scared me so much 😭
I mean...I Have seen a Polydactyl bear before... it's Not a Polydactyl Bear, of course, but the idea isn't a stupid one.
"I am not suffering from a head injury" you literally are
There's some supernatural shit going on I'm calling it.
May I ask what the inspiration for Dr. Schumacher's chanting was? It seems oddly familiar but Google wasn't any help.
Jonas is sus as fuck. i don’t trust his coffee. he’s spiked it i know it
I don't like how the narrator keeps explaining how they found these notes and recordings. Makes it seem like other people other than the expedition found them...
Yep!! That’s the creepiest part to me. No interviews with the people that were there. Just the recordings and notes they left behind.
@@hannahlanaiexactly it's making me wonder if any of them survived
@@arielspurlin986 It's so good! I finished up season 2 and loved it. I hope you're enjoying too!
Are Kesnar and Rosa sleeping together?
Yes, they are.
Execution, acting and sound just oozes this sense of quality. The story is a bit plodding. I hope it picks up, as I always love polar region stories. These cannot rely entirely on atmosphere: They still need the twist of something specific and unexpected. Not easy to pull off...
Love this so far but Karinas acting is getting annoying, whoever wrote her lines sounds like a theatre student pretending to be scared. She keeps speaking in circles. So annoying
Holy shit, the sound of the door flying open during their card game made me jump like a cat while I was at work 😭
