Honey might be my favorite character just because of her propensity for oddball observations. "Third bald Mitchell" made me laugh aloud, and it's what most of us were already thinking. I know I was.
I don’t think I’ve made this as clear as it should be: I don’t get out of bed on Saturdays until this pod gets cast, and I’m in Detroit, Michigan. You gotta warn us if the pod is going to be 12 hours late!
@: Dang it! I missed that. Thank you very much and I’ll be paying closer attention to the end of the pod from now on. Not that I really object to spending a Saturday in bed, you know.
I think Ian is getting the birdwatching cd for Christmas too 👌🏼 Nish: I'm worried about Eve in all of this, will she survive Nish's evil attempts revenge? What is the future for SukEve? I love the way Ree says 'Kohjoooh' 😁❤ Looking forward to the Christmas Day eps!
When jean told harvey that she scam twice and broke down in front of harvey that broke my heart 💔Wanted give her hug bless her and with nish thing it's like his not letting suki move on with her life or be happy did notice when Freddie give cindy that cd in vic i'm wonderng if has Cindy's confession on it 🤔ummm
I knew we had not seen the last of Nish. I am glad Ravi stood up to him, but we know that is not going to stop Nish from his revenge plot. Who in their right mind is going to help him besides that doctor he is paying off? Please do not drag this out until Christmas. Did they forget that Bianca is still locked up and the weasel Reiss is still around? What is Junior going to do when he finds out that Cindy was still in love with George and was only with him because she couldn't have George?
Is George going to remember how junior said he was in love with the woman he was seeing? So many layers to the Cindy cheating story….can’t wait for the reveal.
My theory is that Ian will have a heart attack (or fake heart attack) on Xmas day, after finding out about Cindy and Junior's affair. Cindy will rush to the hospital where she will be told that Ian has died, whereas, in reality, he has faked the heart attack and got the doctors to lie, as he finally realises Cindy's true nature and fakes his death and leaves, without her knowing.
I would hate if Ian was killed off.I think Ian is aware of Cindy; he knew that bracelet wasn't for Cindy jr, and speaking of Junior...his decency I feel was undermined by the scene with Cindy afterwards. Lolz...Christmas is for Cindy. Don't understand Jean's hostility towards Harvey. I could understand being humiliated, but shutting him out like that, can't see how Jean would see that as fair. It's sad IRL if someone fraudulently takes out loans in your name the expense of money and lots of time to rectify still can work against you. YES! This Nish angle should have come earlier. We knew, as much as we loved it and anticipated it, the knot of the 6 would be a difficult untangle, but the 6 IMO should have ended in Dean's conviction, and Linda's breakdown being solely about guilt. I do agree the "letting the cat out of the bag" with Suki and Eve's wedding I felt didn't need to be made so public with no thought given to Nish's history. Can't see why Eve and Suki couldn't have had a quiet clerk's office marriage, and then when Nish died have the public ceremony. If it was me and knew all about Nish would have played it smarter. 🤷♂ My gold star goes to Ian for being a loveable mug who handled Cindy having an expensive diamond bracelet with a bow on it in her jacket pocket with a lot of grace. Poor Ian! Glad UK is 6 hours ahead from US britbox should at least keep to my evenings schedule of viewing; sympathies to those who have to wait up.
I reckon there's a good chance BBC will release Christmas Day Part 2 so that it's available to watch on iPlayer immediately after Part 1 airs on BBC One. And Suki still owns half of the house lettings. I looked into this some weeks back because the ambiguity of all was annoying. In February 2023, Nish initially tricked Eve into getting Suki to sign some papers which transferred 50% of the rental houses to Vinny's name, ostensibly to empower Vinny, but really just as a way of putting Suki in her place. Nish then bought the chicken shops from Phil. In January 2024, as part of the divorce settlement, Nish got Suki to agree to handing over "all the businesses, all the properties", by threatening to tell the police what he remembered about Christmas Day. In March, Vinny said as they kick Nish out, "I've signed over my 50% to Mum. You gave me 50% of the rentals so the money was in safe hands, remember? Well, I can't think of a safer pair." So Suki currently just owns 50% of the houses, but none of the other businesses. And their house is just rented from Masood.
I don’t get thr Jean storyline - someone please explain it to me. she never had money to start with. There was 12k in a pension fund, I get that's gone. But shes acting like life savings have gone now on top of that. If Jean had that money how come the Slaters never have anything 🤔
@EmiFromMars to me that doesn't make sense though. The slaters thing is they are always skint are we now meant to be that Jean has been sat on a significant sum of life savings this whole time whilst the family and her in the past struggle on. Doesn't add up to me.
I was half asleep during that episode but I think before she paid the "solicitor" she was hand wringing over finding money to pay for it. I got the sense she raided the kids' piggy banks or something.
Watching on a Monday morning before we see this week episodes. Have a wonderful week Ree Rob and all. 😀
Loved this week, just the right amount of excitement leading into Christmas
I’m sure the Reiss, Bianca and Sonia story will be one of the main focuses for the 40th

@@EastSider48215 we did at the end of last week’s! 😉

They did
@:Yeah. It was my mistake in skipping the very end of the pod last week. Won’t be doing that again!
@: Yep - it’s my fault for not listening at the very end of the pod last week. I should have known better!

Lauren has to be the one to play the CD at the Beale family Christmas dinner surely.
Ah, yes…those nice, soothing bird sounds are just what this dinner needs.
Yes mirrors the old storyline and if she lost the baby before that, she would blame Cindy.

@@rebeccapinto9926 that and his line of “what’s good enough for you” line in his best man’s speech?

Justice for Becky! 😂

What if all the rumors around a funeral involving the Carter family turn out to be that they find Mick’s body?

Watch out Nish is evil and even.

this nish story line has got to end before christmas its getting annoying now
Nish is never going to die. He will fake his death to lure Suki into a false sense of security and then stalk her for the next forty years.
