    got ours 2 years ago, only just got our workshop floor concreted & put the mill in today! will be assembling it tomorrow, as you say the manual seems decent. great video.

    I was hoping to see more of the assembly process instead of just finished stages. Oh well, you can't have everything. I am awaiting delivery of my HM122 here in a couple of weeks (I hope) and look forward to making lots of sawdust in the very near future. I've been watching videos on saw milling for the last 6 months or so getting myself pumped up.

      Yeah, I should have showed more of the "nuts and bolts" so to speak, if I had to do it over again. That being said, the manual really does do a good job explaining most of it. Congrats on your upcoming hm122! Its a neat little saw and is rather rewarding. Best of luck and enjoy making that dust! 👍👍

    Portable sawmills are such awesome tools! My dad bought a woodmizer lt35 8yr ago and sawed a lot of lumber from trees on the property. Sawing a bunch of pine next spring for a cabin. Enjoy your sawmill.

      Nice, yeah they're pretty awesome. I've heard several people talk about tracking issues out the box, but I guess I was fortunate that mine tracked fine from the get go. Glad you got yours straightened out. 👍

    I actually poured Concrete Piers for each of the legs and I have a 4x6 runner with a 2x6 on top of that for elevation to make it a permanent set up and to keep from having to level everything every few logs or so for settlement and movement. I'm thinking of adding an additional set of track even though I have the extended track so I can build a storage house over it for the powerhead to protect it from weather. Eventually I will build a mill shed over the entire unit.

    • @dusttodusthomestead

    How long did it take you to assmeble the mill completely? I have seen 2 to 3 days as the norm. It looks like you guy were getting done at a good pace. Remember id you are not making mistakes then you are not working. I wonder if labeling all the parts would have helped. Right side left side

    • @dusttodusthomestead
      @dusttodusthomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I remember correctly, it was somewhere around 3 weeks, give or take. So, not too bad. I hear now that they're dealing with some back orders due to higher volume of orders though. Don't know how long that will last, but might take longer to get one now.

    • @dusttodusthomestead
      @dusttodusthomestead  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tree is just an old dead lodgepole pine. Just blowing or brushing off the sawdust of the fresh cut, to look at the grain if the wood. Also, we like to clean sawdust off the boards for stacking although normally we just use a little brush now. Thanks for watching 👍
