The bike and equipment were state of the art at the time. Cyclist cheated back then. They took amphetamines and pain maskers like Halloween candy. Sportsmanship? You have some really good rose colored glasses. You might do some homework.
Simple. Real. Not plastic. No ridiculous gadgets. Straight up across-the-board........ Many all-arounders who could do it all, not event specialists as is the sad case today. No pathetic (worthless) spinning. No disgusting, filthy beards and long hair, as well, black socks and colored shoes, computers. It was classy. All of this is gone today.

Armstrong took much more drugs than other riders, Eddy took the same things as Gimondi, Coppi, Anquetil etc... He is the best sportsman ever
