      @brandonsatterstrom7894 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well yes, that would be the obvious next question by any half decent journalist as someone saying they were shot 9 times doesn't necessarily mean they were even remotely close to being hit... a person could say that exact sentence while describing a situation in which they were riding in an armored car while being shot at...
      Vlad likes to remove ambiguity in the language people use in order to bring the proper context forth... thats interviewing 101...

    Sometimes I take for granted that my wife is a Neurologist. Until you see things like this. We both make great money but she can’t watch a lot of fights anymore with her line of work now. It sucks because she was such a Roy Jones Jr fan years ago. Well Errol Spence Jr is my favorite fighter at the moment. We ordered Spence vs Porter and she went upstairs in the second round saying she can’t watch them do this to each other. They see it from a entirely different side as brain doctors. She can’t watch UFC either especially a fight like Zhang vs JJ last month.

    The brain surgery slowed his speech but he is still very sharp. Boxing is dangerous and if you're able to have a respectable career, you are truly a strong person. I served my country in Iraq and withstood the pressure and pains of war, but when I tried boxing, I realized that I was not ready to make that type of sacrifice. Thats why I respect boxers so much. They put their bodies and minds on the line in a sport that can forever cripple or kill them with one punch. They put their mental heath in danger to entertain us. That's why I can't find humor in that meme when he points at the ref before his legs gave out. His heart was ready to continue but his brain wasn't. Those guys are the ultimate competitors man.

    As a World Class Boxer with weapons for hands, and a street dude loved by dudes active in the streets.. I admire the growth it took to legally handle his issue when he could have took it a different , worse rout . Similar to when Napoleon said his homie was locked up by a dude who killed his parents and he told dude to spare him because his faith took him to a level beyond retaliation. Im not there yet.

    What does a banned substance have to do with your inability to avoid being hit?

    • @KontryBoy706
      @KontryBoy706 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      mindbully because some PEDs give you increased stamina and increased power. Imagine you trying to get out of the way of shots late in the fight and you’re fatigued but the person you’re fighting is fighting like the fight just started and they seem to not be affected by your shots. You’re handicapped. By your logic everybody should be able to take PEDs and it’s your fault if you can’t keep up while you’re on your natural ability.

    • @mindbully
      @mindbully 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Solid point. Wouldn’t deem that advantage as attempted murder, though. That’s an inaccurate characterization imo.

    • @KontryBoy706
      @KontryBoy706 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      mindbully Well I’m not sure if it is or if it isn’t. But... I will say this. If you’re willingly taking something in advance like that to give you those types of advantages in a combat sport where you are attacking someone... you know the extra damage you’re doing because you’re on the juice. That person could have been killed and had bleeding on the brain and had to have brain surgery afterwards... It can be viewed in a very negative light in a court of law. Maybe premeditated AND attempted instead of just attempted. Had Zab died it would have been First degree murder. Only accidental or possibly manslaughter If he wasn’t on the PEDs.

      @@mindbully some drugs become too much for someone and they can't mentally control. You could possibly kill someone once certain drugs take over. Watch the fight. Dude was not gonna let up if ref didn't stop it

    Those head injuries in boxing is why defense in boxing is important. Also, ALL boxers should be required to take blood test before and after the fight. Dirty urine - a fighter should lose that belt if they won it in that previous fight, your opponent should get that lost erased from their record and the dirty fighter should be suspended and fined

    In any contact sport if you get caught using a banned substance, criminal charges should be mandatory. Killing someone in a ring because you use an enhancer to beat them is crap. If you're not better than them work harder or sit down.
