Thank you and ride on!
She's my friend's mom. Super nice lady. She's been a first call stunt woman for the last 4 decades. One of the best in the industry.
Tell her she's totally rad for that balance bike handstand
Do you know where she was riding in this video? It looks like indian dunes.. I grew up racing there every weekend.. I miss that place..🤙
This is Debbie. It was Indian Dunes. I sure miss that place! Thanks Chris for the nice comment. Still riding. Just did a vintage trials in Nor Cal two weeks ago and won my class against the guys. Unofficially though because I choose to not take their points😊
@@irdebster rock on girl ..🤙
@@irdebsterFantastic, congratulations!! Now if you said it was riding the same bike as in this video, that would be mind blowing. 🎉
Ah, glorious 70s Southern California. Gone forever now.
Who’s to blame?

Loved the bikes back then. Not saying they were better, just a lot of character and good utility. Also liked the girls back then. I think they might have actually been better…
Back when women were women and men were men! The bikes were better and simpler and had better styling, just my opinion. Modern bikes are in a race to uglification.
@johnnyrebellion8672 Yes. And you didn’t have to get a loan to purchase or moreover REBUILD a bike that grenaded itself !! Todays HELLA expensive motocross bike have less durability than my
CHI COM weed eater !!!
Just turned 63 today and I’m still riding ( 2022 Beta 300rr). I’ve been riding since the early seventies and even had a TY 250.
How am only seeing this now in 2024???? What a talent!!
Impressive!! With a kick start. Hell, I lost my balance just watching, and I was seated!
Okay, the handstand was impressive, looks like she was riding at Indian dunes.. God I miss that place 🤙
Shadow glen track...
@@brucelennen6231 my all time favorite track. Ripping through the trees and the big berms were a blast . The TT track was a fun wide open track as well, the international track was too gnarly for me at the time.. 🤙
Mind blowing. Now, check out Viola Brand on her bicycle.
It's a headstand, not a handstand.
@@Jlk-rm1jv thanks for the clarity,
What would we do without you....
watching this vid reminds me of how much i miss dirt biking in the 70s
YAMAHA TY trial bikes were really GOOOD ‼️‼️
Very impressive! Great balance, and that is what it takes to be a great trials rider!
And she was good enough to only take five days to do the six day trial😂
Phat tyres?;-)
She was amazing, I used to see her when I was young. Those trials people were a different group. We raced MX but would go to trials to watch. Guys would sit in circles on their bikes BSing with their feet up like they had kickstands down. Pure skill and balance.
Awesome! Gives goosebumps to watch her person. 👍🏻
I’ve worked with Debbie dozens and DOZENS of times. And hired her ANYTIME I needed a girl/woman/chick that I KNEW COULD GET the job done RIGHT. She’s MUCH BETTER than MOST the guys when it comes to “wheelin a car around” and WAYYYYY BETTER than ALMOST EVERYONE when it comes to bike work. And she’s ALWAYS BEEN a “sweet heart” to have on ANY of MY sets. 100% CLASS ACT ! GRAT PERSON ! 🦊🇺🇸🏁
🤦♂️

Wow that was a headache to read
I have a 1977 TY80 that I’ve recently changed the engine in. All my children were taught to ride on it. My 2 eldest sons now have race licences.
Glory days of old.
Very very impressive.. debs a champion
Debbie Evans has her own YT channel
🌟Debbie Evans Stunts🌟
Bet her mechanic loves her fall in the water trick
So cool to see Indian Dunes Shadow Glen track again. Miss that place so much.
Indian Dunes! I’ve got a retro replica tshirt of an Indian chief with headdress riding a 250 with a hatchet lol
Thanks for taking me back when I rode trials in the 70s.
Debbie does trials. Thanks for being awesome
Is that the sequel to Debbie does Dallas?
My best friend growing up had a TY175, it was the first bike bigger than a 50cc that I ever rode and it spat me off (a lot) had a neutral between every gear, auto flipped in first gear if you gave it a fist full and went like a bat out of hell if you managed to shift to second gear in time. Also, carrying a passenger means you got to sit on the rear fender, just ahead of that metal loop and if you hit a bump that loop was your landing zone.....we loved every minute of it, good times.
I love reading the nostalgic comments for stuff like this.
I just hope for the sake of the world that the next few generations will be able to finish off recalling their younger days with......good times.
Awesome! My mother-in-law has said that she wanted to be just like Debbie while growing up.
Handstand on a YAMAHA!👌👀ING is believing. Great way to 🆒-off.. seriously excellent📎..Thanks.🏍️ Debbie🏍️....🌞..
Nice one Debbie.
Like the Moto Verte sticker on the gas tank, reminds me my youth, this is the French off road MC magazine. I remember this article about Debie in Moto Verte, l was a teen on my TY50, now 59 and still riding daily.
Dam she is good on that bike. 😊
over the picnic table would have looked great in a movie. 🤠
Now how is that possible? The headstand.
I have been living on dirtbikes since 1992, I have never seen anybody be able to stand still on a motorcycle for more than 30 seconds.
That was incredible.
She's gifted for sure. Trials riders are another breed of human. There are some who will sit on a bike, completely stationary, and balance the thing while drinking a whole beer.
for one thing, she locked the front brake lever on
Less mental distractions means more balanced everything. We are in the dark ages of mental balance
Very impressive! Imagine what she could have done on a modern trials bike!
Can you image her riding Gas Gas or Beta? She ‘ll be hopping around like Ryan Young.
...and looking for a place to sit...!
What a super 70's gal !!! Even has the right name.
Unbelievable balance, and looking at the comments a nice lady too, thanks for sharing this video.
Very impressive. Her balance is impeccable.
Great bike, great riding
Those were great little bikes. I sure miss those days.
The first lady of trials. I used to have a bike like hers. Good little bike. 175cc
I could be wrong….. but I think that’s a 75cc bike…. I had a ‘77 Suzuki TM 75….. not the same bike in the video…. But I’m pretty sure that’s not a 175cc….
awesome great job what a nice young Lady 😘
I am pretty sure the only trick in this video I can master is "the world famous fall in the water"😂
I miss bell-bottoms..... Nice riding Debbie.
The 80’s sure was a different time 😊 she’s getting fancy with it 😂
Well, that is one thing I haven't seen Toni Bou do.
Pretty cool. 😎
My first motorcycle was a 76 Kawasaki KT 250 two stroke trails bike in beautiful lime green and white. Loved that bike and what it could do.
EXCEPT for the narration, THIS was an awesome vid. SUPER-talented!
cow girl rides a metallic horse 😂😂😂。wonder woman excellent balance。thanks for this video bring back lots of my memory using TY250 of 1976 with blue white tank。
wow amazing !!
Now that balance is impressive !
I love the old Yamaha TY. When I was growing up I have heard about Debbie Evans. She’s very talented trials rider.
This is my kind of girl. Great demonstration of skills.
I see applying and tying the front brakes makes the bike more stable for the headstand.
You're not the only one that dreams of having a girl like that... get in line bro. The suply doesn't meet the demand sadly
Wow beautiful
Love the Farrah hairdo !
Outstanding!! 👌👍😎
I remember her she was awesome 😎 ❤
Very impressed
Awesome 👍
Wow. Just wow.
Debbie was a bad ass. I could never do that headstand thing because my bike won’t kick start that easy😂
Amazing stuff.
Wow,! I wonder what she ate for breakfast that morning…I think I’m in love 🥰
Hell yeah debbie, get it!
Impressive!
I had a Honda TL 250 trials bike 1976 model it was a great bike for its time
Shes awesome. Looks like Indian Dunes.
Wow!
Got Skills.
Dang I remember when those trial bikes first came out, only the rich kids had them.. and The movie "On any Sunday" was playing at the theater.
Head stand holy sheight! 😳😳
yeah yeah, I've done that trick too - important to kill engine asap to not fill it with water.
Pretty athletic stunt! "Why am I whispering?"
Wow! Unfortunately I didn't know her name. But I was riding YAMAHA TY in 1980s, too☺️
This has to be the same young lady that wowed the crowd in the 70s at a competition that I saw at escape country motorcycle park Southern California. Saddle back Motocross park was 80% racing courses.
I used to race MX there, Escape Country, and the track at the OC Raceway (Drag Strip) in the early 70's. It's ALL covered in houses now.
Crazy mad skills
I think im in love 🥰
Cool video. I notice she locked the front brake with a strap or band of some sort... just a note for anyone trying this themselves.
Anyone foolish enough to try this themselves :-)
Yeah, impressive, but not completely unsupported with the front brake locked and the front tire turned sideways and sunk a good ways down in the sand.
probably the rear brake too, or left in 1st
locking the front brake on a bicycle lets you lean it up against just about anything, eliminating the need for a kickstand
Why in world was she not in “On any Sunday “
This was a few years after OAS
I think she was in Take It to the Limit or a follow-on OAS. They featured this clip there.
over the top!👏👏👏
With enough practice, I bet I could do that fall-in-the-water trick.
😅
Pretty awesome video thanks for posting. Wish Yamaha would release trials bikes in the USA I would be the first in line for one
Had one myself as a teen. Mine was in the yellow/white scheme. Sold it in the early 90’s after completely restoring it. Since it was a rare bike in my area the local Yamaha dealer gave me the parts microfische slide for it and said to just bring it when I wanted parts. That way they wouldn’t spend a bunch of time digging it out. Yes, I could still get dealer parts then!
Yamaha won't even bring ADV bikes like World Raid, Extreme or Rally versions of the Tenere T7 to the US.
The largest Yamaha dealer in the state of Texas on got one base model T7 in 2022, was only expecting one T7 in 2023.
And you want Yamaha to ship Trials bikes into the US market?
Dare to dream. 👍
Hey James a man can dream haha I have owned so many great Yamaha dirt bikes in my life through all these years my garage is all Yamaha even my generator lol. Then there’s 1 Sherco trials bike looks out of place lol
@@motomatt6752
I actually picked up a Ducati DesertX back in May. There were NO T7s or Honda Africa Twins available.
Have over 4k miles on the DDX in four months. Got the full race titanium Termignoni race exhaust and EVO tune. Putting out around 120hp and sounds absolutely awesome.
That sounds really fun to ride. At the end of the day you’re doing something you love and that’s riding. Have fun be safe 👍
That oul can trick was actually pretty cool.
Absolute talent.
I had a 1978 TY250 bought it brand new, I had a lot of fun on that bike it could go places where nobody could follow me.
I do not know how I never owned a TY, they were dirt cheap and loads of second ones were up for sale as the trials bike people swapped them for low-slung bikes, the second-hand market was flooded with them, £200-£300 would buy a good clean one, this is the 175 but the 250 was THE machine to have, they are now selling for up to £7000, new they were about £500, hope Debbie is still riding, remember seeing a film about her long time back,
She commented in the pinned comment, still riding to this day.
Everyone's start up bike I the 70's and 80's.
As soon as Montesa 200's,Fantic 156,and Bultaco 175 hit the market it was a TY exodus.
John Shirt and Mick Whitlock did a great job with the Majesty and Whitehawk.
Then Yamaha brought out the TY 250 monoshock in a n attempt to get their market share.
I had one of these bikes, buggered if I could do a head stand on it though. Did a fair few face plants I can tell you.
Back in the days when women were kind, smart, humble and capable...
That was BOSS!!!!
Wow 👏🏻🔥
She also appeared in the 1982-83 Jean Nate After Bath Splash commercial.
She was a cutie. Skilled too #respect
It's all in the bell-bottom jeans she wears. 😀
You can hide another motorcycle under those bell bottom
at that age, our young guys had longer bottoms covering shoes and for cleaning the floor 😂😂😂,1970 century
Amazing
I remember this from Peter Starrs movie. Take it to the limit
Rode one for years on trails and in trials.
“Why am I whispering?” LOL
Beautiful Hair
Wow, people were doing sick things years ago! Do not underestimate what was done a long time ago!
Good head
stand
LEGEND !
Very nice interview of Debbie on the TH-cam channel MotoStarr.
Nice🤟
I have been riding dirt bikes for years and I have everything she is doing many times, it was just never on purpose.
Still own my Ty 250b from near new Now just got to find a girl like Debbie...
I had 1977 or 1978 ty 175 Yamaha trails bike in 1983
Debbie is riding at India Dunes in Santa Clarita.
I used to ride trials, but there were never any events near me.
I don't think any of the J bikes make trials bikes anymore. Even Tony's "Honda" is in a Montessa frame, you CAN buy it from Honda but $$$$$$
They dont make em like that no more....
(Im not talking of the bike)
