Terrific! I'm a film director and can never learn enough about the acting process, especially when the instructor is young and excited about their tools.
what is the difference between the PG and animal exercise? I had to play the governess in TURN OF THE SCREW and had difficulty finding the core of the character in the scene where she waits to be interviewed by her new employer worried he would find out she had been in prison. I found the squirrel as the core and immediately held my hands together and moved them into my chest. The timidity, the fear, the desire to escape, the possible exposure all became part of my exploration in rehearsal.
