This turned out great! Glad the liquid sandpaper worked for you. I’m in SE Alabama so heat is a problem for me so I add Flotrol along with a little water to help slow down drying time. I normally use Heirloom Traditions or Fusion Mineral Paint.
Thank you! I tried using floetrol a few months ago and didn’t have the best of luck. However, my bottle was quite old so that may have been the problem. It was also a different paint brand. Great to know it works well with those brands - thanks!!
Hey Rachel! These came out soooo good! I used to have a set like that when i was a kid and it brought back so many sweet memories. You totally did a great job updating that yellowish finish (they all seemed to have that back in the day).😂. Keep it up! GO TEAM RACHEL!
Oh I love that it brought you so many sweet memories! It’s such a fantastic set. I’m glad to have brought it into modern times. It will be interesting to see what will be the future updates to what we’re doing now.😆 Thank you for cheering me on!💜💜💜
You are great at discussing those details that satisfy your and my A type work personality. Appreciate it. Thank you. First viewer. Chester County Pa. sees your Penn State top.
Welcome! Thank you so much for watching, and I appreciate your feedback. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out the balance between providing details but not boring those who don’t care about that.😅 Glad you liked the Penn St shirt! I have no affiliation but love the shirt!😀
Oh Rachel! it turned out so good! what a score with that extra nightstand! I always see similar single nightsands showing up on marketplace. Also thank you for reminding everyone that those syringes are not really single use, 🙂I usually just empty it back on the glue container wash it and reuse, that is why I keep a little bucket or cup of water to clean that right away!
Thank you!! It was such a great score! I was basically running to get it!😂 Thanks for sharing your method of reusing the syringes! I’ll try that next time bc it seems more fool proof. My cynical side reads the “one time use only” as we just want to sell more products.😂
I love it! I have an bedroom set I've had since my 20's that I starved to death to be able to purchase but it's orange oak and I really want to paint. This may give me courage to attempt it. That color is porcelain dreamy. Great finish. I'm just not patient enough to do all 6 pieces!
Hi Rachel, you did such a lovely job!!! I absolutely love the color you chose, can you tell me if there is perhaps a version of the color in Behr or Sherwin Williams paints…melange and wise owl are a bit pricey for me right now 😊
I don’t know of one, but that would be a great thing to find out. I’ll take it in for a color match and see how it matches up once dry. I totally understand wanting one that’s more affordable.
So lovely! Excellent procedure with instructions that will really assist me in my restoring adventures! I have a set this style in a tall dresser and a large 9 drawer dresser, so I will be using a lot of your good tips. Thank you so much for sharing! I love the use of a light color for these French Provincial pieces, however I saw one restored in black, and it was ok, however I felt it did nothing to contribute to elegance that complements French style ethic. I was able to subscribe to your channel; this is the first time I have seen you. Thanks again!
Thank you, Mary! I’m so glad you found it helpful. Sounds like you have a great set! I agree about preferring lighter colors on them, too. Thank you so much for subscribing! I’m glad to have you following along.🥰
Yes. I like to have the already straight edge there to line it up at the front of the drawer so the pattern isn’t crooked. However, if I thought it looked off, I would do it differently.
Beautiful but the handles look too brassy. (Not the color of brass but a bit too much with the color). I would’ve used bronze or black - but matte looking not shiny.
So elegant!
Thank you!😊 One of the things I love about French Provincial furniture!

Love how these turned out 😊😊😊😊
Thanks, Andrea!!! They are being shipped to their new home today. I’m excited!
Gorgeous, Rachel ❤❤❤

Stunning! Fingers crossed it sells today!
Thank you! She messaged me saying she woke up not feeling well and will plan to come on Wednesday now. We’ll see!🤞

Wow! Really beautiful transformation! I love the new color and the hardware looks amazing with it!
Thank you, Julee! I love how the color combo turned out, too!😊
It turned out beautifully! Love the updated color.
Thank you, Kay! Glad you love it, too.🥰
Beautiful job, Rachel! What a difference!!!
Thanks so much, Barbara! 😊 Amazing the difference the paint made, huh?😍🩷
Gorgeous! Would look great in a nursery too. Never heard of wet sanding. Learned something new
Thanks! It totally would! I’ve seen people use it for a high gloss finish. I have that on my list to try, too.
Very pretty. You did an amazing job on these pieces. French provincial is my favorite to do.
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear you love them, too! They’re such a beautiful style. Pretty both stained and painted.😍
Wow, beautiful transformation. I really love the wallpaper you used inside the drawers❤
Thanks so much!😊 I saw another flipper using it and had to get it. It was a really great deal, too, which I always love.🙂
Came out so pretty and classic looking.
Thanks, Shawn!

You can do it! I know having that many pieces to do must feel overwhelming. Maybe pick a piece or two that you think will be the simplest to do first.
And the things we’re willing to do to get something we want!😂
Very nice!
Thanks, Carmen! Appreciate your support!🩷

Great job! New subscriber 🎉
Thanks, Joy! So thankful to have you following along!🩷🩷
It looks great. Sherwin Williams sells a flow assist additive. Not sure it will work for that paint.
Great to know, thank you! I could always test it out.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!😊
Pretty! I don't like the look of paper inside drawers... I prefer the natural wood look but you did a great job!
Thank you! 😊 I understand. I like both, so it just depends do on the piece for me.
My nana bought this bedr. Set in 1952
No way! Is it still in your family? It’s a great set!
Hi Rachel 😊
Hi!👋🩷
You put the drawer lining in sideways 🤔🌸
Yes. I like to have the already straight edge there to line it up at the front of the drawer so the pattern isn’t crooked. However, if I thought it looked off, I would do it differently.

Thank you. I actually love the color of the handles but can understand someone liking another color. Thankfully it’s an easy, inexpensive fix.
