Sirens wasn't changed because "it's a term you shouldn't use anymore" (Sirens are just a mythical creature of greek mythology...), it was changed because them being called "The Three shadows" was just their original japanese group name. a good amount of the game took some cues from the original japanese version this time around (Such as the cricket badge actually being a frog badge.)
Hey Brian. I was thinking about getting this game. I’ve been playing he Mario RPG remake and I like it overall, but some things are kinda boring to me like being forced to battle enemies and the basic story. Nostalgia aside, would you recommend TYYD ? I’ve been looking to get into a good immersive rpg.
If you're looking for a vibrant world with great writing in the characters and an easy to follow story, I would recommend. It's not a game that does combat and pacing in a revolutionary way, but the vibe of the world and the personality of the characters is what seals the deal.
