I totally agree. All of these fabric additions should have been on later releases just to update the figures with no new tooling necessary. Another Amazing Job, Dave!!👏👏👏

I used the poncho that came in the Hasbro 1998 Tatooine Accesory Set. The set is under $5 on eBay and the poncho is a perfect fit on vintage Luke.

Canonically it is also supposed to be the same piece of clothing. Qui-Gon wore it on Tatooine, and when he died it ended up in Obi-Wan's posession, who then gave it to Luke.

I think it is just a rectangle though, and it's quite sticky-outtie if you don't sort of tuck it in around his arms. I like a cross between that and this...fwiw.

      @@Rocket1377 That's cool, I didn't know that.

Very cool addition as usual. Would be cool to see you try and make the hat and goggles to go with it. Just like the picture. I know we ask a lot of you Dave, and I certainly appreciate all you do. Just thought it would be cool to see. Thanks again Brother.

Wow you make some of the best stuff! I really appreciate that you create such neat accessories for the original line - like Kenner should have! Thanks again for making the hobby fun!

Looks great. I would have finished the stitch down both arms, cut off the inside excess, and put a brown line over the seam. Love your vids.

I love your robes, capes, and ponchos! Be cool to see a hat and goggles made, unless you have done so on one of your videos.

You have outdone yourself once more, amazing creativity. Luke was missing that poncho for a long while. Are You going to try to make the hat aswell?🙂

It looks good but change the folds and it will hang better.

try using a fusible fabric stabilizer spray and an ironing cloth protector and set your iron to a fleece setting if available otherwise try the polyester or lowest heat setting to try and iron the folds into the toy knit. 😀

Even though it's not quite the same tune, it was very difficult not to sing "Set me free, why doncha babe?" once the musical interlude came on LOL. Anyway, great work!

Should the early alternative universe Luke not have a vinyl poncho? Just a thought...

  • @themohels1
    @themohels1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Have you thought about using craft magnets in the bottom to add weight and to pull the back to the front, so it hangs better?

Be good to make the hat with the goggles to go with poncho think it needs a clear belt to hold it in like strip of clear plastic or something or brown elastic or black

Nice cape! Does the material fray at the edges though?

My 1970s action man is losing his hair and I was wondering if I could get some replacement hair and stick it on? Do you have any ideas?

I don't think you can get the fabric from that link any longer. In fact, I've had difficulty finding it. Cool video, however.

Just search for looped fleece on Aliexpress if the link doesn't work. There are lots of sellers. Cheers
