Hi I know this is a old video, but can I use clear nail polish so I can glaze my beads?

Yes, but clear nail polish will wear off faster than Diamond Glaze or Triple Thick.

Not sure if you still are looking for an answer...I started making paper beads last year and have been making jewelry with my finished beads. I'm on a very strict budget; I've found that a coat of cheap, clear nail polish, purchased from Dollar Tree, plus a coat of good glaze works just fine and saves me some money. Because I'm interested in selling my jewelry, I tested my glazed beads first by soaking them for 24 hours in water and then trying to set a different bead on fire with a candle lighter. The water didn't harm my beads one bit. After about a minute or so of being exposed to direct flame, my test bead (not one I soaked in water) got charred but it didn't burst into flame. I now feel secure in my method of glazing beads.

I am between diamond glaze and triple thick... Which one do you prefer???

I prefer Diamond Glaze because it's easier to work with. Once you get to the third coat, they seem to look about the same.

I know this video was from a long time ago. Question, can I use mod podge to adhere the embossing powder?

Hey! No, the embossing powder adheres when it melts. You don't need anything additional.

You can actually dip glaze paper beads with sealant while they are strung up (there are tutorials on TH-cam)

Hi! I have not tried dipping in this, but I suspect that it will dry in runs because it does dry quickly. Might be worth a try!

Try a few and see how it works and if it leaves runny drips off of them

Marlene Jones if it does leave runny drips you can use a cheap nail file or bead file to smooth it
