  • After spending a night and 500 dollars in Bombays Taj Mahal Palace hotel, any other hotel room seems like a broom closet.
The hotel next to the picturesque Gateway of India is a luxurious fortress, an icon of the international hotel industry and the pride of India. Opened in 1903 when India was still a British colony, it was the country's first luxury hotel to be built by an Indian for Indians. Today, it is managed by Birgit Zorniger, a 44-year-old from south-western Germany, quite an honour for a woman and a foreigner. The hotel has 1,800 employees, all but seven of whom are Indians, the other six are chefs in the kitchens. Joachim Eggers accompanied the manager for a day.

God bless this woman! Please dont bring ethnicity into jobs, whoever has the ability to do a job then that person should be given that job regardless of gender, race, religion etc. It is all about equal opportunities. This lady is doing a great job & for a hotel like the Taj you need a person who can do the job well. Remember who gave the job in the first place.....A INDIAN. Hope this lady & all the people featured in the video survived the 27/11 attack?

It is a sad day when Islamics terrorists tarnished with innocent blood such a beautiful landmark on 27th November 2008. I pray that many of the employees have survived the coward attack by the evil people who attacked Munbai. I hope and pray Taj Mahal shall reopen soon.

Germans have perfection in their genes. We need to inculcate this in our daily routine, only then we can be the best.

Perfection is ok, over perfection not good for humans. Human should be dynamic, not perfectionist

@ericssson dude.... your comments are not nice......we all can resort to abuse and stuff, but lets not........ shit happened to the Taj Mhal, thats a shame....... you my friend should not get into the controversy...... so lets chill over here...... You from Canada..... but i doubt if you have a glimpse of the indian mentality and understanding...... thanks for you comment but it kinda off tracks to a negative genre.....
