- Building a TINY BOAT - Chapter 1 - Starting from Scratch
There is a lot of prep work that goes into building a Tiny Boat. Planning out your build PRIOR to doing anything is one of the most important steps you could take to help your build go smoother and faster.
In Chapter 1 we go over the history and progression of my 1648 Fisher Build. The first build took 1.5 years and was built out of a storage unit. It was heavy, with 1/8” aluminum and 1/2” plywood I could not push the boat around while it was on the trailer. We tried and tried to rebuild this boat, each time aiming for the highest caliber rig and came up short.
For the last time, we put everything we could into this boat. Both work wise and product wise.

What size tubing did you use for the gunnels? Looks awesome i wanna look at doing this to mine
When putting on the new gunnels, did you end up filling in the relief cuts that you had made?
Yeah, welded the cuts up and sanded everything out the best we could
@@fireantfishing How much would you charge to do that gunnel mod at your shop? Same size boat.
